do you want to stand on ragged procedurally generated planets with random colors?
do you want to look at basic astronomical statistics?
do you want to waste money?
then this is the game for you!!!

I've found nice place on Mars to start colonization. Should show it to Elon :) Actually here big planets in the sky and some astronomical stuff but graphics could be better.

Very Nice program. It's still supposedly in it's early stages, so I have a few recomendations. First the controls. They need to be changed. It's just not accurate for the things you need to do, (especially typing) Next it should save your position and time. It gets annoying to have to put in your coordinates and time, after you move your viewpoint to the moon, or another planet. Then more celestial events. Like the Loenid Meteor Shower. Or other secestial events like solar flares (they may not be major, but it would be cool to look through the teslescope (or the tablet) and see those. Better landscapes. if I put in the cordinates for a city, then the landscape should be a city. Maybe get permission from google maps to use their 3D map of the world. (I know that may be a little far fetched) And finally, maybe a way to track the direction the headset is pointing. If I'm facing the eastern sky in real life, I shouldn't see the northern sky when I open the program. Or maybe when the program opens, there should be a message telling the user to "Face North" so they will accurately be positioned.
Finally, there are a few gramatical errors. Like it tells me I cannot rotate the telescope UNTIL IT MORE THAN 2000. It should actually say that the telescope needs to be LESS than 200 in the magnification to rotate it.

Haven't played very far in-depth. As other reviewers have mentioned, the controls are a little clunky (using the touchpad instead of pointing at things on a menu), I was a bit annoyed during my first playthrough when I had to complete the tutorial twice--once on each hand. Couldn't figure out how to get the telescope working (If it works?), but the sky was pretty nevertheless. I especially liked being able to walk across the surface of Venus. So cool!
As the game is now, it's very barebones and I wouldn't recommend it, but I think as the development team keeps working on it, it could make for an incredible experience.

Today, thanks to Virtual Telescope, I could travel to the Moon.
I have been all my life dreaming with walking on the Moon myself, but I never thought of becoming an astronaut, so it seemed like something I could never do.
I cried, a lot. I can only say thank you.
Feelings aside, I think you could improve the control system, and maybe choosing visiting other planets when discovering them on the sky, instead of having to write their names on the "tablet" we have on our hands.
But still, for being a early access game, it is reaaaaally good. Thank you guys, truly.

Amazing simulation! Using VR to discover the night sky above your city is great! The simulation lets you travel to any place in space and time and thus you can watch the sunrise on Mars or the solar eclipse you missed last year - fantastic! There are several premade events (like the blood moon from last month) which can be selected directly. However while the simulation itself is great already everything else is still a bit rough and needs some more work. The graphics look good, but I get reprojections (Ryzen7-1700X, 8GB, Nvidia GTX1070). The userinterface is very annoying: using the touchpad of the Vive you control a dot (like a mouse-pointer) and by pressing the touchpad an option is selected. This sounds ok, but the touchpad is rather inprecise and when trying to press it, the dot jumps to a different position. One of the biggest features is the control of time especially its speed. But to increase or decrease the speed you need to aim at small buttons using this dot. A different scheme for time control would be nice and an extra option to just pause time (currently after max speed comes pause before it goes reverse in max speed, which makes it even harder to stop at the desired moment).

Cant recommend this experience as of Nov 2018 until some showstoppers are fixed:
-the virtual telescope model needs to actually "work" - that is, looking in the eye peice should do *something*
-the UI is woefully bad guys.. please get some help with this. At minimum these need fixing:
-Dont use the vive trackpad as a mouse. In VR it's more intuitive to press the buttons in 3d space with the tip of the controller, or at a lazy minimum point at the buttons using the controller as a laser pointer.
-Keyboard should be QWERTY, not alphabetical.
-get rid of the tutorial. Needing a tutorial signals that the app is not intuitive. Use things like tooltips to explain the UI elements, and labels on the vive controllers to describe what the buttons will do. I'll say it again. Get rid of the tutorial. Bin it and find a better way. It doesnt help that the tutorial currently is mandatory.
Good luck guys.

Arghh, Apps like this dont really do astronomy any favours. I wish with apps like this they would atleast place you on a part of the planet that is actually mapped rather than just a whimsical backdrop. Atleast attempt accuracy with what we know. Even Pluto has been photographed with enough detail to be able to achieve this. Generating a few mountain ranges and changing the colours is just not accurate and is actually damaging for the uneducated that think that it is. The detail Mars could have had would have been fascinating. Yeah its only 5 bucks but the quality is just not there for this type of app.
