*****updated on 12 June 2019***** Hey there, you have fixed it. It's working on my Windows machine. Thank you! So sorry to hear about your closest family medical issue. Hope everything will be all right. Take care. --------------------------------------------- I super like this app idea. Random avatar generator. Super cool and clever. But there is one problem. I tried running this application on my Predator windows notebook, intel chip and it did not run. I can't give review because it cannot even run. I managed to run it on my Mac. It has been a while and the pc version is still not working for some of us.

This mediocre software is no where near being worth $18 USD. That's a damn rip off. Honestly, just buy it make your self portrait with in the 2 hour return time frame and get your money back. I'd pay maybe $8 tops for this software put it really should be priced at $5.

A simple little program that does what it sets out to do. I do wish that the colour select had a little more nuance, but with Tassilo's passing it's hard to complain too much about what he gave us.

It is a mystery for the developer why the current version of pixel-me does not work on several Windows 10 computers. It does launch on my PC-laptop (Win 10) but not on my Tower-PC. I will however recommend this software, but I might change this to NOT recommend if developer does not do anything to resolve these issues.

My negative review is now positive because the problem (launching issue) I was having is now fixed. Many thanks Tassilo!

A very very useful tool for creating diverse characters in a pixel art game! It is possible to have many various faces with different styles, gender, color, et cetera. Recommended for Indy developers that want to produce 64x64 pixel art faces. I'v been able to create about fifty faces in half an hour. Are they perfectly suited to my use? No, of course not. But it saves me a lot of time, effort and money. I can now adapt one of the standard items (a cap) to my needs and import them into the development software. There is room for improvement or a 2.0 version though, such as the ability to create your own items before you make the faces, choosing your own size (now limited to 64x64 or a version of 256x256 which is only a blown up version of 64x64), selecting or filtering between different genders, age and ethnic groups. Nevertheless, very useful for my own purposes and a great time saver thus worth the money. @Tassilo: if you want my input for a version 2.0, let me know.

A wonderful piece of pixelart software. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far. I know it's predominantly focused on facial stuff, but the addition of side profiles would be a neat touch also. Just throwing that out there!

Not used it for long, great piece of software, a different way of delivering assets in a sense. Two things I would like to see in future releases though: - Export with transparent backgrounds (although I can easily add this myself.) - Non humanoid characters, e.g. robots, aliens, animals etc... Other than that it is great for the price where you would usually pay around £20 for half the assets you get in this software in an asset pack.

A bit too limited to be useful. + It can make a lot of nice looking male faces. - It's too limited for female faces. - Has no real youthful options. The youngest I could get a face to look was maybe mid 20's. - No fast way to get around so selecting hair becomes a game of click random until you get a number close to where you want to go. - No way to scale/distort anything which makes a lot of things that could work not work and be too wonky to use. - There is no logic to order so it feels like every number of an aspect is random and unrelated to the last forcing you to take lots of notes on what things are.

Overview This is a portrait generator that allows you to make pixelated (human only) characters in a charming art style. They can be exported to a folder which the program allows you to quickly access in-menu. As well as save, load, and randomly generate entire faces or individual parts. I personally had issues with slowdown and crashing on parts of the program. Options are as follows. (At the time of writing.) - 4 heads. - 6 Necks - 48 Chins (including some amusingly cartoony ones) - 66 Eyes - 37 Noses - 116 Mouths - 186 Hair styles - 7 Backgrounds - 50 Eyebrows - 83 Beards (And visibility toggle) - 11 Clothing Styles (And visibility toggle if you want your character to turn into a human popsickle... XD) - 27 Decorations 1. (Various decorations.) - 27 Decorations 2. (Effectively a copy of decorations 1, allowing you to have two different decorations on the character.) - 39 Glasses - This allows for a truly impressive amount of combinations. Color Selection Options For... - Head, Eyes, Lips, Hair, Background, Eyebrows, Bead, Clothes Additional Options - Full random and randomize individual parts. - Movement sliders for individual parts to slide eyes, mouth, decorations, etc. etc. up and down to make sure it all looks nice together. - One of the backgrounds is transparent, allowing for custom backgrounds if you work with photoshop or a similar program. - Exports to 64x64 and 512x512. Though scaling images up for pixel art usually isn't a huge issue. Known issues/points of improvement/suggestions to developer - The program tends to be a bit slow and has occasional crashes. Save early and often if you put your heart into a character. I've had the program crash/freeze quite often when trying to pick custom colors. - It's be awesome to see if the developer incorporate random color generation for parts of the character that colors can be customized. - It'd be fun to see more clothing options and options for nonhuman characters. - When trying to create people with darker skin colors it doesn't look so good around the eyes as the wrinkles around the eyes keep the same shade as though they were caucasian and leaves it looking strange. If it'd be possible to lower the shade on those it'd be nice. It's a quick fix in post, but it'd still be nice to see this fixed.
