Dope Civ-lite, its reputation somewhat tarnished by being rocketman's favorite vidya. (Ew)

It's one of the best stratigey games I have ever played, I highly recomend this for those who like chess and civilization war games.

Folks, let me tell you about this game that has completely consumed my strategic gaming soul. As someone who cut his teeth on Civilization II back in the day, I thought I'd seen every possible iteration of turn-based strategy. But this little gem? It's a masterpiece of strategic simplicity that proves you don't need 100-hour gameplay sessions to create a deeply engaging experience. I've got 24 hours clocked on Steam, but here's the real kicker - I was absolutely addicted to this game on Android long before it graced the PC platform. Those 24 hours? They're just the tip of the iceberg compared to the countless hours I've spent conquering tiny, beautifully crafted worlds on my phone. Let me break down why this game is an absolute must-play for any strategy enthusiast. Unlike the mammoth Civilization games that require you to basically set up camp and live in the game for weeks, Polytopia gives you a concentrated shot of strategic brilliance in just 30 turns. It's like the espresso of strategy games - small, powerful, and absolutely packed with flavor. Each tribe you can choose from isn't just a cosmetic choice. These aren't your grandfather's civilization skins. Each tribe brings a unique strategic flavor that fundamentally changes how you approach the game. Want to be an economic powerhouse? There's a tribe for that. Prefer to crush your enemies with military might? Got you covered. The game's brilliance lies in how it takes the complex 4X formula and distills it into something that's both accessible and deeply strategic. The map might be small - we're talking a 16x16 tile playground - but don't you dare think for a second that means the gameplay is limited. Every single turn is a chess match. Do you expand and risk spreading yourself thin? Do you focus on technological advancement? Do you go for an all-out military conquest? The choices are yours, and each decision carries weight. What truly sets Polytopia apart from its strategy game cousins is its absolutely gorgeous low-poly art style. It's like someone took the complexity of civilization building and wrapped it in the most aesthetically pleasing package imaginable. The visuals are clean, crisp, and somehow manage to convey entire civilizations with minimal detail. The two game modes - Perfection and Domination - are essentially two completely different experiences. Perfection mode is all about maximizing your score, requiring careful economic management and strategic thinking. Domination mode? That's pure conquest, where only total victory will satisfy your bloodlust. Resource management is where the real magic happens. Stars - the game's primary resource - become your lifeblood. Every single star counts, and watching your carefully managed economy transform from a small village to a sprawling civilization is deeply satisfying. It's like watching a time-lapse of human progress, but in a bite-sized, addictive format. Look, I've played countless strategy games. I've led civilizations from the stone age to the space age more times than I can count. But Polytopia? It does something special. It takes everything I love about 4X games and strips away the unnecessary complexity. No more 12-hour marathon sessions. No more getting lost in endless diplomatic negotiations. Just pure, concentrated strategy. For anyone who loves strategy games but doesn't have the time or patience for ultra-complex simulations, Polytopia is your game. It's fast, it's fun, it's deep, and it's endlessly replayable. Each game feels different, each tribe offers a unique experience, and you're never more than 30 turns away from either glorious victory or devastating defeat. Recommended? Absolutely. In fact, if you don't buy this game, you're doing yourself a disservice. Trust me, your strategic gaming life will never be the same. Now go out there and start conquering some tiny, adorable worlds!

Great strategy game, love the multiplayer, and excited for any new content. I've been playing polytopia for years now and its awesome to see how the game has grown over the years, new tries reworks, and some balance changes. Now polotopia isn't perfect in terms of balance, but each tribe still has its moments to shine. 9.5/10

This Game is an absolute blast to play if you've got a community of strategy gamers looking for a simple game to obsess over! The interpersonal dialogue alongside variance in openings, strategies, units, and terrain leads to no two games being precisely the same. I'm only a few days into the game but I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

A highly underrated game that is very fun to play, with games against bots and players and different game modes. With 16 different tribes it gets hard to become bored. Would recommend.

Super fun to play w/ a really close community and discord that is really helpful for when you have questions. I would recommend trying the mobile version first since its free, and if you want to do multiplayer you can pay $1 USD to unlock it. There are some tribes that are meta like cymanti and elyrion that can seem unfair to play against in the start but if you keep playing you will learn how to counter them.
