Graphics are mediochre even on Ultra. Walking speed is painfully slow and running is way too fast and frame rate drops. I might give this game another shot later, but it got me so bored after 30 minutes of glitches that I have decided to uninstall it.

Blind Souls is a beautiful and relaxing adventure made by one guy. It's pretty short, but I had a good time playing it.

Not a very compelling or interesting game at all, if you can even call it a game. As another reviewer put it, it's just a walking simulator, and walks at a very slow pace at that. Even the way you "paint" the pictures is simplistic and unsatisfying. The voiceover story is just bland poetry.

The controls are a bit janky (walking is so slow that it makes you want to run everywhere, but running is so fast that it makes you feel like you're missing things), and the game is a bit glitchy (I got stuck inside a wheelbarrow less than 30 seconds in), but overall it's pretty fun as a freeform, mostly plotless exploration game. As long as you go in knowing what you're getting (I cannot stress "mostly plotless exploration sim" enough), I'd call it worth its price, which is pretty cheap even when not on sale.

You can't expect too much from this game. It's a very short walking simulator, very simple. I would have liked a few puzzles in the game. But the idea of the game is not bad. And the graphics are good. Very pretty landscape. Please keep in mind that there is only one person behind this game. And so it's not bad. Well done

This gets the good ol' 'Eh...' The selling point of Blind Souls is that it's pretty. I hesitate to call the world well-designed, because there's absolutely zero in the way of environmental storytelling and the designs of the villages and general countryside don't make much sense. It is, however, very whimsical and that fits with the general setting of the game - being a helpful painting ghost accompanied by a helpful painting inspiration ghost lady. In general, the only worth this game has is in relaxation. It's pretty calming just running around the countryside, messing around with the canvas painting filters (which is kind of neat, I'll admit) and listening to the music, perhaps with a drink by your side. It's a incredibly screenshot-able game. I'm very much reminded of the new lands mods for Bethesda games, where a person made a beautiful worldspace intending it to be used for a bigger mod but ultimately becoming burned out in the process. The result was a empty, but pretty, amalgamation of assets that was cool to run around in for an hour. There was always a feeling of what could have been with those sorts of mods and I feel the same way about Blind Souls. Fix up the bugs (please add a jump button oh my god I got stuck so many times) and add a stronger story next run around, and I could see this being quite fun in the end. For now, it's just alright.
