If, like me you run windows 10. This game will not run. It only runs on widows versions up to 8. Why the does Steam sell this game to the general public and take our money for something that does not play??
In the small print it does tell you, but doesn't warn you, before you press the pay button.

Final thoughts (6/10):
It is a good game with a lot of great aspects but nonsensical story choices and lack of 'shivery' atmosphere reduced my enjoyment significantly.

I love this game in spite of a bug in one of the Mini game puzzles. I Skipped this puzzle so I could finish the game. The one with the color bubbles on the gate,
This game is SO MUCH FUN, It has a lot of different kinds HOG game-scenes, & Some of the Mini games can be challenging, But that adds to the fun for me.
The story is pretty good but no surprises there really. Kind of predictable if you know what i mean.
The Bonus game was good too, But also had a glitch, & When I encountered it I quit the game & then Reentered to find I could play on successfully.
The Home Room With the Aquarium was cute & Creative .... I didn't find all the Aquarium Objects.
But I did find lots of the black pearls to dress up my "Home" with.
I even found them in the HOG replay games in the "Extras" so if you don't find them all in the game to get what you want, Try the extras to bling out your "Home" with. :)

Not nearly as great as the first two Shiver games. The gothic, horroristic, undersaturated color atmosphere is gone.
There is a colorful, weirdly designed game with lots of bugs, some good ideas, but mostly very dull and easy puzzles. Morever, for me on Win10, many letters in the texts are just missing in the game, but even in the main menu. For example: "More in o"; " xit", making the dialogues, puzzles, tasks sometimes very difficult to read...
Therefore it's a huge disappointment for me. I would recommend buying and playing Shiver: Vanishing Hitchhiker and Shiver: Poltergeist instead. They have much better visual style, better puzzles, and they are much more immersive.

Highly recommended HOPA game! In this game, you're a doctor returning to practise in a small town with a mysterious past. Things have gotten stranger since you were last here, and you're plunged into the mystery immediately upon your arrival. Note that the game begins with a chase scene from the POV of the scared young woman trying to locate the doctor; this is actually the prologue and tutorial.
Pros:
- excellent length with lots to do
- interesting story to draw you in (one or two confusing transitions, but minor)
- lovely art (atmospheric too - I like the glistening rain-damp streets etc)
- wide variety of puzzles (mostly moderate level, a couple a little harder)
- wide variety of HO scenes (with one exception, well-crafted; one scene didn't accept a large bicycle wheel for "wheel")
- two sets of collectables, both used to decorate your new home (for once, this was an enjoyable feature, not just rather confusing): (1) black/gray pearls for buying new furniture and upgraded flooring etc; (2) fish tank items (um... for your fish... as you might guess ;)
- decent music and voice acting
- fully interactive map that manages the quasi-3D concept *well* (most are awful)
- very good bonus chapter (note that there are more collectables here)
I could go on, but there's a lot to recommend this game, and very few cons. I suggest getting it on sale only because the Steam prices for the Big Fish games are very high, and there will be a sale eventually. Either way, it will be money well spent.
