Whatever, its too hard game, bosses are too strong, otherwise it is poor similiar game like Diablo, Titan Quest or Van Helsing. that point, slash, clash and loot. This game is still else in development, so thats it is so like so. Next time it will maybe will better...

Not sure why people give this game a hard time. It's simple good fun! If you are looking for something not too complicated, but has gear, leveling, and team building, then you should like it. As for the back tracking, you are rewarded for going down different routes. Why would people want something completely linear anyhow? Overall a good game, and a great deal when on sale!
“I scream for everything that has gone wrong. I scream for everything broken in our lives.” ~Marie Lu, Champion
Torn Tales was a bad game. Very bad. Feel free to check my review for more details, but honestly, all you need to know about it can be told in one short sentence. It's short, it feels cheap (the balance there doesn't even exist), it's dumb, there are no towns or NPC, there are no quests to do (they claim there are but honestly, there aren't) and, the worst of all, it's slow. So slow it's unbearable. That's pretty much it. That's everything you should know about Torn Tales. Now here comes a new version of it a-a-and... yeah. That's where sh*t hits the fan for real. First of all, even though technically, it's the same exact game, they want us to pay $14.99 for it. You can get a small discount if you already have the original Torn Tales in your Steam library, but I don't think it helps that much. It's the same exact game. And you need to pay more for it. Brilliant. Just brilliant. But wait, it gets worse. Way worse... First – the entire new content here is just ten new maps (in case you didn't play the game before, the maps here take only a few minutes to finish, there are no secrets to discover and, like I already said, there are no NPCs and no quests). They have also added some sort of crafting system, which actually helps a little since, instead of throwing stuff away (yes, there are no stores here too and the only way to get the equipment is to find it on levels), you can turn it into money and then use the money to make something better. It helps... a little bit... I guess... but all in all, the only real addition here is ten new maps. With no new story. For $14.99. Beautiful... The worst thing, though, is that this game is... broken. That's right. You can't finish this version at all. Just because the fourth chapter (there are five of them here) is broken and instead of properly load the first level, the game... well... breaks. So, let me put things straight. They took a game that was already terrible and, despite pretty interesting motif that allowed us to control Snow White, Robin Hood and Dr. Jekyll in American McGee-like setting, absolutely awful, added ten more maps and a way to get better equipment and then... asked $14.99 for it. Without doing any testing. Because yes, it's not just a game-breaking bug we're talking about here. It's a completely... broken... game. Developers know. Developers don't care. And before you'll ask, no, you can't just transfer your save file to the original version of the game, pass the broken map and switch back. Because save files here are not compatible with the original Torn Tales. Like I said, Torn Tales was a bad game. Now? Now it's broken. You really want to finish something as awful as this? Get yourself the original. It's cheaper and, well, it works. Even though it'll still be the same crappy game, at least you can beat all chapters there. This? Paying for this is like throwing the money away. Already bought it but didn't have time to play? Get yourself a refund. Because supporting the broken products in Steam? It's always a bad idea. Dixi.

The game could not be completed due to a fatal bug in Chapter 4, The Permafrost Caverns.

Fatal bug at Chapter 4, Permafrost Caverns. Game cannot be continued. At begginning of the level, the screen is just distorted shapes. Mouse and keyboard don't do anything at all. Have to kill the game. ***Not recommended till this is fixed, if ever*** Pity cause I liked a lot how the game played till that bug. Also don't like the selling apart both the old version of the game and the Rebound Edition expanded version.

This is a fun little party based Action RPG. I picked it up at around $4.50 and I'm enjoying it. Don't go into the game expecting something crazy in-depth. However, the characters are interesting enough to make it fun. I really like how Dr. Jekyll plays in particular. If you're familiar with classic fairy tales, then you will definitely enjoy this game with all of its references and enemies you encounter. I say give it a try if you catch it on sale. It's very easy to pick up and play a chapter or two when you have time. EDIT: I just hit chapter four and there's a bug where the game loads underneath the stage, so you can't progress. I can't recommend the game with a game-breaking bug like this. Once it's fixed, I'll switch it back to a positive review, but I can't in good conscious recommend this game when it has a bug that prevents you from finishing the game.
