I find this game oddly fun, but you have to understand the saving process. It only saves your inventory, so to really get the most out of it you have to save the game as you mine and craft. It's easy to die and anything you build is only good for that instance, so it's best to build a nice inventory over many worlds. This game is far from a finished product and has a lot of flaws, but I got my dollar worth haha.. I hope the developer really works more on this because it has a ton of potential.

I think it's a pretty neat sandbox concept to play around in, though it's very obviously unfinished, and the developer has stated this before. I would love to have the source code to play around with and tweak some things for my own entertainment and education as I'm fairly new to programming altogether. I can see that this is a project made for fun, and I treat it as such.

Improve generation to make the world less bland, add more NPCs. Add multiplayer, and BOOM. You have an cool game. FIX SPAWNING POSITIONS FOR NPCs! Make them spawn farther from you so you don't notice it!

My advice to anyone interested in this game would be to wait a while before trying it out. As the game is it shows a lot of promise but many things need a lot of work to make the game enjoyable to most people. Right now the probems are things like crap A.I. , poor combat mechanics, enemy spawns are rediculous...the enemies spawn randomly in an area around the player as he runs or stands still. So as one runs through the map, these giant glowing robots with dual machine guns spawn in the face of the player and nowhere else...thats not very interesting to me. I'm sure the devs know this and are working to polish things up a bit, but right now, in my very humble opinion, the game is hardly worth playing.

If they were to re-release this as a pre-alpha, I might recommend the 99 cents. The 99 cents and a hope for further development could make this a game worth, at the very most, keeping an eye on for further development. To be honest though, if they did re-release it at pre-alpha, with promise of further development, and at 99 cents, I still would NOT recommend it because 99 cents isn't "We're really interested in our own product and it's development" money. I have requested a refund, but will keep an eye to see if the developer is actually even interesting in developing this game a bit (heck of a lot) more. To be honest, the framework seems to be there for a fantastic title, a graphically superior and more in depth Minecraft, a game that I have 0 hours in, in the interest of full disclosure, and for the reason that I just can't tolerate the graphics.
So to the developer if you read this. You should consider taking the loss and removing this game if you aren't going to develop it any further, because it's not even 99 cents worth of playable. If you are planning, and I actually recommend you do, further development on this, show some signs, some evidence, plain and clear, that you are interested in doing so, because I'm probably not alone in seeing the potential here.

The game is good, but crafting isn't so good when you need hundreds of logs to craft planks to make a foundation, plus, you can't reload your progress once you save it, because there is no load game button. So, I don't reccomend this just yet

It's a tremendous start for a game, lots of potential.
Having played minecraft for my whole childhood, I'd love this game so much because it's nearly exactly the same game, but with "grown up" graphics and ideas.
That said, the execution is poor. Everything that has to be "crafted" in the inventory requires too much material - it's unrealistic that someone will get the several-hundred planks of wood that they need to build even a simple house during the first day. The five minute day, much longer than five minute night dynamic is annoying. I'd love a more day to less night ratio, allowing more time to configure and find materials and develop during the days. With this aspect changed, and maybe a few achievements/progression points added, this game would keep me entertained just as minecraft has for years.
I'd love an ability to play LAN with friends, too, if the developer is listening.

It's got a ton of potential, I believe that future updatescould really optimize the experience in this game and make it much more fun. For the time being however, you can build doors that your player model cannot fit through, evil robots with huge guns spawn right next to you as soon as the night falls and instantly destroys you, there is no clear way to stockpile water as far as I'm concerned right now, the buildings you build provide exactly zero cover against the raining death that is the night robots, and the walls don't even snap together completely leaving empty spaces in your structure. As of June 14th, 2018 I would not recommend getting this game now. I would advise buying it much later down the road when it becomes more of a complete project.

This game has been abandoned. The developer said he needed a better computer in order to develop the game, and that was the last we heard from him --that was July 2018. No word from the developer since then, so I think this game is not developing any time soon and really should be removed from the steam store.
Sorry VicX! If I'm wrong please comment on my review!

Played for 15 minutes in survival, found you needed a couple hundred wooden logs AND planks to build a house, which is a preset. As far as I can tell, there's no actual creative crafting of any kind. Given your low energy bar, I found there was no way gather the resources necessary to have shelter on night one, which comes at you roughly five minutes after you spawn, So you're running around in pitch black with a pistol as zombies swipe at you and glowing blue robots fire machine gun arms at you. There's really no surviving as far as I can tell. I quit and went to God Mode, which was the only other main menu option, only to find that you have multiple sets of every armor, thousands of resources, and presumably every gun. It seemed like too much, so I dropped almost everything save the sniper rifle, knife, bedroll, food and water, then started chopping at trees for five minutes until the Great Blackness took over the world, at which point I ran aimlessly shooting at zombies and giant robots, just wondering when night would end and I can actually see what's going on. Roughly a half hour later, there was no end in sight of the nightfall, so I quit and now I'm writing my shitty review warning others to not waste the dollar. Not worth it.
