While I enjoy Takenoko the board game, this implementation is poorly made and frustrating. It's as if no one actually tested how the gameplay is after they developed it.
Some points for developers to consider in an update (if that may come):
- I should be able to look at my cards AT ALL TIMES! When others players play I cannot see my cards. Also, if I select an action I cannot click on my cards to see them (if I have 5 cards then one is covering the other)! How am I to select a tile or an improvement if I cannot see my cards...?
- Also, when "question mark" rolls or "cloud" rolls and I have to select either a Dice or Improvement, I cannot exit that screen to temporarily view the board! How am I supposed to make a choice of those if I cannot clearly see the board?
- Please have the AI players do their actions without me having to press OK every time... If I want to see their actions then perhaps I can click on their name and see what they've done...
- These are the rules of 1st edition. Perhaps give the option to select rules for the 2nd edition as well for people like me who never played 1st edition board game and only played 2nd edition?
- I don't see any stats being recorded here. I think it's important to be able to keep stats.
There are other comments but I think these should be addressed as soon as possible if this game has any luck of being played by a wider audience.
