Like a lot of alpha games, it has a good foundation with lots of room to grow. Gameplay is mostly quest- and exploration-based, and is engaging even though there is no combat so far. Devs are super responsive to feedback about the game. Gave them two bug reports with a few dozen observations and all were fixed within 48 hours. Diligent follow-through suggests the game might actually be finished, unlike the majority of RPG Maker alpha projects out there. The game is worth the $3 price tag right now. Buy it while it is cheap.

Was at first going to rate the game a negative- since my first experience was a literal black screen in the game that I could not get past, within the first 3 minutes. HOWEVER, due to quick developer response and an update patch being made for it, I decided to rate this positive. I will update the review as I continue to play and get deeper in the story, providing more constructive criticism. Due to the active DEV and updates being made monthly (or so it seems), that is a huge plus. Any negatives, bugs, etc, can be in theory, all fixed by patches and updates- but that all requires an active dev/ team. So the currently active dev and updates pushed it over to a positive for me, for now.

This is truly a remarkable game. The characters are pleasant and likable... no... lovable! The whimsical music keeps your toes tapping between every action packed engagement. Thank you for this game. Just, thank you.

I originally marked this review as recommended because it seemed like they were making an effort to make something here. However, the project has been all but abandoned. It is currently a bug-ridden proof of concept, nothing more. This is what people initially expect from Early Access titles, but they also expect things to change as the game is developed. Given the catastrophic lack of progress in the past year, the game is unlikely to be finished, and what does exist is not worth anyone's time or money. Fix the bugs. I can't recommend anyone play this it in its current state UNLESS they intend to actively work with the developers to be directly involved in the game's development and bug fixing. Will update the review if things ever change. Edit: Development has apparently resumed after being on hiatus for over half a year, but no update has been released to Steam yet. Edit 2: It's almost 2021 and there haven't been any updates since 2019. The RPGMaker game I made in a month during middle school had less bugs and more content than this. GG Edit 3: Well it's almost 2022 so it's time to update the review. A few months ago there were some updates and patch notes. I'm gonna be honest, I didn't test the game. But the patch notes say "-Fixed 1,000,000 bugs.". Now there are only 525,600 minutes in a year. This means the devs slept in shifts and worked on the game non-stop 24/7, fixing, on average, one bug every 30 seconds. I will be back to playtest the game again soon and hopefully switch my review to recommended depending on the results. Edit 4: Halfway through 2022 now, looks like several updates have released. The game can no longer be thought of as abandoned and is allegedly nearing completion. But I still haven't playtested it and it's still in early access so I'll give it some more time to cook. Edit 5: September 22, 2022, I finally gave the game another shot. The intro seems to have been changed. There was a typo immediately after arriving on the Tutoria dock. I went into Pine Village, went into the house of some rich people whose daughter was missing - and got trapped inside of a wall, forcing me to alt+f4. I just...don't understand how the game is STILL this bug-ridden, despite dozens of "bug fix" patches coming out, the most recent one being just a couple of weeks ago? And why in the world was voice acting added if the volume on it is so low most of the time that I can't even hear it? Do you guys need help from playtesters? Is your game just so big and ambitious that you can't physically find the errors yourselves? One thing this game has going for it though - the main character is just my type.

Wanted to like this game.. Really did but ended up with a game breaking bug only 30 minutes in.. soo its a hard pass for me. Might follow the game and see if the developers continue to work on it....not just in the bug department...
