Lots of galaxy exploration, fighting hostile aliens, trading with friendly aliens, and solving some mysteries. There's a solid rate of ship upgrade progression until you get near the end. It's weird you can't see stars on the map until you're semi close to them.

This is solid stuff. I don't think the preview really does this justice. It's kinda like Star Control 2 from the 90s (not so much the newer remake). Excellent gameplay loop. Played it strait for several days. Don't think there's much in the way of replay value, but the price is decent (especially on sale) and you'll get 20 hours out of it.

Das Spiel gefällt mir ganz gut. Man kann sein Raumschiff upgraden, und es ist leicht zu verstehen, so das man auch schnell fortschritte machen kann mit etwas Geschick

It's a very simple, even minimalist space sim on the surface. Yet, when you dive deeper, it's surprisingly fun and engaging. Definitely worth trying.

Great Space exploration game in the vein of the venerable Starflight

It's kind of an indie version of NMS/Starfield + Stellaris. Extremely chill and fun. You have your own ship you can customize, a massive open universe with tons of systems to explore and the survey mechanic similar to Mass Effect 2/Stellaris. You can scan a planet, possibly get an event and make choices that have outcomes. There's a main story with multiple endings and also tons of side quests and event chains. There's also a large research tree. The combat is simple but fun, but you can unlock a bunch of tech and different tools/weapons that give you lots of options. The ship builder is intuitive and easy to understand too. I had a blast and i'm happy I played this before playing the supposedly massively improved sequel - Starcom Unknown Space. They are both separate universes, so I'm super excited to dive into the new game soon. It was also a surprisingly good podcast/youtube in the background-type game when you're just exploring and doing side stuff.
