After playing Final Assault (with direct unit control), I was worried this game wouldn't be as fun. I was wrong. The balance of spells, fortification placement and unit variety make this game a LOT of fun. Short rounds prevent prolonged stalemate situations and allow you to come back for the next round with new fortification and unit placement strategies. Lots of fun with an easy learning curve for beginners and tactical elements to make it very competitive for advanced players. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this game, however I got it because I had read it was an RTS, which it is not. This is exactly the same as Clash Royale which is described as a tower defense with multiplayer battle arena. The rounds being timed at 3 minutes a piece were quite frustrating because I’d be in the middle of a fun battle about to destroy something and boom the round ends and I have to do it again. That was pretty frustrating and not sure why they did timers, but whatever.
Overall the game was fun and I did enjoy my time however the multiplayer was non existent and I couldn’t get into a game so I will be refunding the game to try to find an actual VR RTS game.

After a few hours getting to grips with it, I do feel this is a very solid casual game. Cross a Tower Defense with a casual RTS and give it a sense of style and humor. Controls and gameplay are very straight forward, but plenty of variety in tactics on the field. Good on flatscreens, great in VR. Good single-player, great multiplayer, and devs who are still passionate about the game. Personally, I like the Demons faction, but they all have great style. They pack a lot of personality into the animations and sound.
If you like tower defense games, or want a light RTS that doesn't take a couple hours, this is strongly recommended.

This game does VR right.
Runs on both SteamVR and native Oculus, for the latter also provides depth buffer so things like ASW 2.0 works.
Has both teleport and smooth movement, snap/smooth rotating and option to enable/disable comfort mask.
It's also possible to supersample with provided options if you have a powerfull system.
fyi, it's no Brass Tactics where you control the units after placing them. It's more like Clash Royale/Minion Masters.
Creature menu can be put on a hand for easy access but units can also be selected using thumb stick.
It has quite some single player content and you can also play skirmish.
For multiplayer, whenever I played I saw arena's with people in it. Not much, but there were constant people playing.
Hope the game picks up a healthy playerbase, for me the single player content is already worth the money!

Graphics first:
So it looks basic. Low polly.. . And it works! You see, in VR, fine detail is lost anyway.
Hopefully they could tune it to release on Quest. Who knows?
All in all despite low polly, the attention to detail is there, definitely made with passion.
Sound:
Top notch! Great announcer, and effects, music is ok.
Gameplay:
The round is devided into two stages.
First stage is hidden, and you can set traps and towers, like a tower defence game.
the rest is a bit like Skyworld' you summon troops, they go forward and die, you can also launch a nuke. It's fast. Easy to jump in, play few games.
I feel like there is a lot of tactics that can be deployed. There are only two factions at the moment, but you can also hire mercenaries. It is fast but strategic, I would almost think about it as a card game, you play your gambit!

If you liked the battle sequences in Skyworld you will love this one.
You have a miniature world on a table in front of you where you before and between rounds place towers and traps.
your goal is to destroy as many of the enemies zone-towers as possible. whenever a zone-tower is destroyed that zone becomes neutral and both teams can place units and towers within it.
each battle have three rounds, and all towers that survive one round is carried over to the next one.
During combat you use mana to place units or use powerups or throw a mininuke-like fireball.
You can only have a maximum ammounth of each type of units on the battlefield. So if you for example place a lot of archers, who dont move, on one spot... you might find yourself in a fix if your enemy no longer uses that route and you therefore have run out of archer placements for other routes.
The dynamic of the combat feels great, and the difficulty of the singleplayer is so far good. i am only interested in singleplayer so i havent tried the multiplayer.
In conclusion the gameplay is very good, fun and easy to get into. the graphics fit perfectly.
I really recommend this one, its fun easy on the eye and quite cute.
update: i missed a button that brings up a menu so you quickly can select units/spells/towers.
and thus i have removed my complaints about some UI elements.

Cool game that builds on the Clash Royale formula. The biggest issue I've had in SteamVR mode is camera stuttering, but it may be because I'm using WMR (and it isn't "supported" yet in the VR support section of this game, although everything works fine besides that). I hope this issue can be resolved, I'm enjoying this game quite a bit.

This game also helped me rekindle my mistrust of the undead. I give it 5 dancing Carlton Banks out of a possible 4 dancing Carlton Banks.

TL;DR: Good strategy game! Worth a buy on VR
This is an RTS style game with a "Tabletop" view. They nail the design and feel of a small scale, casual and competitive RTS with 2 different factions to choose from, Humans and Undead.
+ Each faction has different troops with different properties (e.g. Warcraft/Starcraft/C&C)
+ The map looks great and the game is easy to understand and pick up
+ Single Player Missions and Multiplayer with "Quick Play" and "Create Arena" modes right at launch
+ Quick and easy to jump in and play a round
+ You can quickly adjust your in-game height on the fly to survey the map
- There aren't a lot of players online AT THE MOMENT due to this being a new game, (but any fan of RTS's or Strategy games should pick this up. Super fun concept especially in VR)
EDIT: Join the TableTop Gods discord channel, It's a great community to find people to battle with online.
(Only ran into one issue which was frame stuttering. I went back and forth with the graphic options, but wasn't able to smooth it out. Hopefully not something that will persist)
***Overall really cool game and would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in a Good VR Strategy game!***
Really looking forward to this game growing in popularity!!
