Wow, this was a wild ride. Played through the single player campaign in one go.
It has all the locomotion options you would want in a VR game.
The graphics are great. Enemies look detailed and the world feels huge. You can at the hellish mountains in the distance. You get a sense that you're in a huge world.
It actually has a story worth playing through, something I don't see much in other VR games.
Has suprising amount of puzzles. You would not think that from screenshots and videos.
You get a lot of excercise in the later levels, tearing demons that are coming from everywhere.
The boss fights are fun.
My main gripe is there's not a lot of variety in enemy types. They mostly run towards you and try to hit you, some are more interesting, like the priests that shoot fireballs, but that's about it. Hope they add more enemies. I also had to restart from checkpoint once. A power wouldn't turn on.
Overall a great VR experience of being a demon from hell and tearing people apart.

I take it that the developers added turning methods to the settings just to be considered to have them, although in fact joystick turning is not in the game.
Refund.

can't recomend at this point. it's just not yet there.
devs should have waited with EA till it's more polished.
this could become good, but right now it's rather stale and boring after 5 minutes.
but keep an eye on it. this could become something!

I’ve been following the development of Tainted for a while (like 5 years) and this game has changed a lot. And it’s changed in a good way. You are put in the role of a demon who tears people apart, doesn’t give a shit about anything and decides to kill his boss.
The graphics are good, not AAA for sure, but it’s pleasing to look at. Some of the levels are genuinely great looking (for instance the crypt with the priests).
The gameplay is the main thing here, and let me tell you, does this game deliver. You can blow guys up, tear them apart, slow down time to feel like in an action movie. It’s genuinely satisfying to tear the hands off a dude and throw them into another dude’s head. The boss fight with the crab spider dude is the highlight for me.
The music is so hardcore it makes you want to just rip all the guys to pieces. The voice acting is funny.
The enemies sometimes get stuck and some of the animations are a bit weird, but I haven’t seen a game in early access with this much polished content in a long time.
11/10 would throw chickens at priests again

The music was really good and the story was interesting enough to keep me hooked, but there is just way too much problems with that game for me to reccomend it.
If you buy that game, buy it on sale because it is an unfinished product.
There is a lot of bugs and some of them are gamebreaking.
-You can fall trough the floor in one of the levels.
-Sometimes objects you are holding will glitch out of youre hands.
-Sometimes you won't be able to go farther because the game won't let you go and you will have no choice but to quit and charge a checkpoint.
The game lack a lot of polish.
-Enemys will appear in youre face out of nowhere.
-The AI is brainless.
-Moving with objects in my hands really didn't feel natural, like they were hold back by an invisible force.
The combat is extremly repetitive and I have some issues with it.
-You can hit enemys with objects but can't do hand to hand combat, except tearing people apart and it will be the way you will kill 99% of the time.
- If I hold an object, it isn't in my hand, it is just floating near my hand and it really doesn't feel natural.
Edit : I corrected some spelling errors.
I just finished the game and let me tell you the final boss is incredibly underwelming, both in difficulty and in design.

I didn't have a whole lot of fun with this, tbh. I coasted along until a boss battle which seemed bugged and there was no way through. No walkthroughs online. no hints. The last straw.

Got it on the Games from Croatia sale. It's got a lot going for it, IF you like gore and don't mind VR. I personally don't feel dizzy with VR ever so it's great. I see that there's a lot more to do in the game, so I'll need to come back to it. It's very ambitious, so you'll have complex combat and other things not usually seen in VR.

As an Early Access game, this looks fairly promising...
Let me start of with saying, the game menu has a board which says which things are missing (which I think is fair if they plan adding those features later).
Pros:
+sweet sweet tearing mechanism
+throwing body parts in hell pit = fun
+cool slowdown time effect (insta kill?)
+great locomotion and offers few moving and rotating options
+love the music, really made me feel like a carnivoe
Cons:
-AI
-story is hard to catch up if you don't pay attention to the dialogues between what I assume is my character and someone else

I bought this thinking it would be a standard 15$ VR game (half an hour of so-so repetitive gameplay). But it's actually a full blown single player story with awesome music, fun gameplay with special abilities, boss fights and so on. Plus has a challenge mode (they call it arena mode) which I didn't try, but I guess it's a nice addition. There's some bugs with the AI but nothing that ruins the gameplay. I'd say get this game if you want to play a VR game with a full story campaign.

Meh at best. The mechanics get really stale, really quick. Also with the bugs and general unpolished look, it is not something I can recommend.
