A wonderful visual novel, perfect for fans of the genre: Lovely art, great, engaging writing, interesting romance choices, including same-sex ones, and awesone replayability. I went through *all* the romances, including the secret one you unlock after going through the official ones, and each one had wonderful, unique art and writing that fit each character perfectly. It isn't too long, and always keeps you engaged no matter which path you take. This one was made with love. Give it a try.

It's very adorable. I especially loved the killer bee event, it gave me quite some good laughs.
The options given when the protagonist fell into the lake complement every single route, making the emotions run deeper and much more heartfelt. Very very well-thought-out and well-written.
The personalities of the protagonist really change depending on your choices, which, combined with the variety of options, make the game very refreshing. I don't really like the meek routes, but the contrast to the sharp and witty girl in my first playthrough made me appreciate the effort the dev put into this game even more, and, of course only a girl with such
It's a bit disappointing that I could only achieve elope ending with Charlotte. I wish the two could get an ending with both love and social status.

This is my first time ever writing a Steam review for a game, but after replaying this title, I can't help but want to for this!
The Rose of Segunda is such an easy and immersive visual novel/otome to play through. The MC is refreshing compared to other female leads in otomes by not acting extremely shy, gullible, or far too dense for her own good most of the time. Depending on how you play your routes, she can be dutiful, opinionated, cunning, mischievous, and playful! And for that, it's truly a delight to play as her and never once have I felt a frustrating moment of, "But just *why* would you do that?"
The romances, as well, are charming, natural, and all have good chemistry with the MC. Some I believe have greater sparks than others, but I never felt bored playing for the other characters! It is also possible to play and not romantically end up with anyone of your choosing by at least two varied means.
Really, to put it simply, the game is fun! Definitely worth its price tag, and I'm super excited for its sequel, where we can explore the aftermath of this game! I really recommend it. I don't think—even if it somehow doesn't quite suit your tastes—it would be an experience anyone would regret.
