Great game, but I would love a multiplayer option, even if it is peer to peer.

My IQ just went up like 500% just by playing this. (((I'm joking, but it definitely feels like that))) Insanely stimulating, incredibly original, and a freaking blast.

The game is not bad in itself, there's just too many problems that pile up for me to decide to not recommend it. For example, for many people, me inclued, the game only starts after changing some minor information on a txt file inside the game's local files, and you have to do that EVERY SINGLE TIME you want to start the game. Other problem is that the story mode has non-skippable dialogues/cutscenes. For someone looking for a fast paced or dynamic game, having to read some mediocre context dialogues for several minutes is a major problem. Anyway, if you want to play this game, follow my advice, check the "mission" option in the main menu, it has very helpful tutorials. It's highly necessary to see the tutorials for this game.

- nice music and art - 4 default characters, 2 unlockables - decent ai - method (ability) input a bit weird from time to time (can't press too fast) - would love to have pvp with steam friend (outside of remote play) - dlc is rhythm game (like Eliminator)

The game is world building and connected to its sequel Akashicverse Malicious Wake. Story mode brings light into the darkness into what happens in the other games. The game in itself seems complex at first, but when you spent a little time and play the mission mode you will learn how the game works. Mission mode also got some extra challenges for good players. There is also a manual in both languages in the game folder. It can help you to understand how each character works. Your goal is pretty much to beat the other player in puyu puyu smash bros with top music in the background and all the visual candy. The game has some minor flaws. occasionally you will get lags. From my experience these lags mostly show up when using Aranha's method Trick Trap Tears or when you are about to lose your game. The game is hopefully getting an online vs mode in the future. I believe that if you are familiar with the other games you won't be disappointed by this game.

This game is a hidden gem. I stumbled upon this game on Fruitbat Factory's website since I play 100% Orange Juice. When I read this was described as a puzzle/fighting/rhythm game I knew I had to try it. Three genres I love in one game? wat. Watching the trailer, I had no clue what the hell was going on and there are barely any videos on youtube covering this game. Luckily there was a demo and decided to try it. 4+ hours later, it has become one of my favorites. Gameplay: The game is essentially a tug-o-war. You clear blocks which brings up your combo count and fills up your Method aka skill meter, which speeds up the rate of blocks falling on your opponent and makes your Methods more potent. You can interact with the opponents side by destroying blocks so they can't combo off of them or clear blocks efficiently. When you have a chain of 4+ blocks, you can activate a "trash clearing" skill, which detonates all 4+ chains of blocks on your side, giving you faster combo, meter build.and overall clearing and is your main method of doing all three. Now, you aren't micro clearing blocks like Tetris or Puyo Puyo. The game is way too fast and hectic to be that efficient. It is more macro focused, watching the general state of your own board and the enemy as a whole. The tactics and strategy here isn't organizing blocks but meter management to clear your board and mess up the opponent's. The game play is very interactive and gets pretty intense when there's a lot going on. The fighting game portion of this is literally just the input commands. While it is weird, it allows for more Methods to be used since they don't each need to be bound to a button. The rhythm part of this game only pertains to one mechanic, which is pretty impractical to actually do it on controller. Graphics: There is a lot of eye candy and chaos. The last few boss fights are super hype. Unfortunately the highest resolution is 1280x720. There is no 1080p support nor can your force it thru steam or config settings from what I've tried. Most of the relevant info during gameplay is pretty visible aside from a few things. Audio: The music is superb in this. It's all electronic music and really hypes up the matches. Only complaint is the low quality sample of them. Other Notes: There is a lot of lack of information. A lot of it is in the manual. UX could be significantly better. There is no online unfortunately and don't see it happening either due to lack of player base. Conclusion: Play the demo and read the manual. You will have to actually try to learn the game to fully get the hang of it. Once you do, its extremely fun!

After playing this game for a bit with friends. This game is really fun, but you definitely have to put time into it. It is more of a puzzle/fighting game with elements of a music game as a final super. The tutorial doesnt really teach you much, but the more you play, the more you learn. Better optimization for controllers could be nice, but honestly keyboard is the best control for this game. Music is superb. I'll give it 8.5/10
