A great take on those photo railroad games, it blends cuteness and horror quite well, and the replayability is nuts if you are a completionist.

This game is one of my favs. its so charming with its creepy yet cute art style. I like the fact that the more creatures you collect, the more control you have over the expeditions!

Mildly spooky Pokemon Snap. The monsters make me think of Aaahh!!! Real Monsters if David Firth tried to draw them from memory.

This is like the spoopy cousin to pokemon snap--in the best way. I love the art--cute, a little creepy, 100% charming. The colour scheme is so relaxing--this is one of my fave games when I am light-sensitive/want to distract from a nasty headache. Everything is so chill and relaxed, the music, the art, the gameplay--it's a wonderful way to relax, but stay engaged. I really love finding new cute things hiding in spots i hadn't thought to look before, it's the best kind of surprise!

I've never played Pokémon Snap and the only game I've played that has such a large focus on photography is TOEM. Penko Park is another game to add to that list. It follows the much more rigid structure of Pokémon Snap over the free-form open world of TOEM. The pacing is solid, you'll constantly be unlocking new areas and tools throughout the main story. I did find myself going back and attempting to 100% areas after I rolled credits, however I decided against full completion as the game did start to feel tedious at that point. The main story of the game keeps things fresh though as you explore an interesting world with wonderful monsters in an amazing art style. I feel like the art style of Penko Park and the fluid animations of the creatures is far and away the strongest aspect of the game. I was always excited to explore a new area; to see the landscape and new creature design. If you like Pokémon Snap, you'll love Penko Park and if you have any interesting in a short, yet memorable photography tour, then I'd also recommend Penko Park
