UnderDungeon has great graphics, weapon concepts, minigames, and music. The story is a little silly, and sometimes it was hard to follow the dialogue (maybe because of translation issues?). I found difficulty with progressing sometimes, either because of something that I missed (black and white graphics can make it hard for things to stand out) or because I had a hard time with the combat.
I'm not entirely sure that I want to fault this game for those things, because it honestly made me feel like I was playing an old-school 2D adventure game. I still recommend it, with the note that progression may get frustrating, and it's probably fine to keep a guide up just in case.

The game is an interesting mix of Zelda/Isaac style dungeons with plenty of weird moments+characters in the vein of Undertale/Turnip Man comits tax fraud.
After each dungeon/area you are returned to a small main hub.
On paper, it sounds like it could be interesting, and for some I'm sure it will be, but it wasn't doing much to appeal to me.
The resolution is pretty borked, with no in-game option to fix it. The text is soo big that it is almost dizzying for me to read any of it, making all text that appears an unpleasant annoyance.
The Zelda-like aspects are pretty self-contained within each dungeon. The best thing about Zelda-likes for me are the large overworlds that you constantly backtrack through as you find more tools.. Outside of these dungeons, this game doesn't have that.
I'd almost give this game a sideways thumb, but because of the QoL problems I'm leaning more negative (and dropping it).
