Clunky, and unpleasant to navigate and play. Even the most basic item selection is a hassle.

This a is great Table Top Tower Defense VR game...the best I have ever played! The Developers are very helpful as well, so we will look for more games from Dilly Frame in the future. I got hung up on 21 Wave, but the developers showed me the reason, and I was able to complete the game afterward. They still fix bugs in the game when you reveal them to the Developers. This game appears to be bug-free now, so it can be completed without issues.
Also, there is a lot of depth to this game, and it is well worth the full asking price. You can expect several hours of enjoyment before actually completing the game. Replay is also fantastic, because you have several achievements that you can go back to unlock. Superb game, guys! Keep them coming.

I'd like to list the good and bad but unfortunately there really isn't anything to list for the good. There seems to be some decent ideas about the game, and I'm sure I would've seen more had I played more however in its current state I just can't suggest playing long enough to find out.
[Played on Valve Index]
Controls: The movement is awful, you move painfully slow, making the long walk(s) in the title screen of the game on launch an absolute slog to walk past taking over a full minute just to walk what should be considered only a few steps. Further, turning is restricted to 90 degree segments, which if you're use to VR games is likely going to be incredibly frustrating as you reflexively attempt to turn with the joystick only to have your view snapped way too far to be practical, often disorienting me to an uncomfortable degree.
Gameplay: It's a basic tower defense game, pretty much exactly as it looks, however placing towers can be annoying as on some maps the tower just wont place even though the spot looks valid on the board-and there's no feedback as to the issue telling you that it is actually not a valid area.
Enemies have no obvious indications regarding their health, the route they will take prior to spawning, nor reaction for taking damage making every feel really flat and lifeless (plus making things harder to gauge/plan around).
Visuals: Very reminiscent (and likely at least partially composed of) standard assets you'd see in an asset pack for sale, not really much in the way of distinct style in any field. So while serviceable, they're not the nicest to look at nor provide any real incentive to play.
Overall: Not worth buying, especially at the current $11.00 price tag. While not the worst TD game out there, it has nothing really selling it except for the novelty of VR-which is not executed the best either. You'd probably have a better time trying to mod an existing TD game into VR. If the game were to be given it's only visual flair, more polish, and better controls I'd consider picking it up again-but given this is a nearly 4 year old game as of writing, I'm not optimistic.

Perhaps it is simply too early in this games development but I do not recommend it right now.
Pros:
1. Great idea, and I love tower defense games
Cons:
1. Movement occasional breaks. The game uses teleport movement which is fine, but when it breaks, you have to "walk" by moving the thumbsticks. This walks you around like you'd expect on a flat screen game but makes me very sick in VR.
2. Buttons in-game don't simply press when you touch them. They flash on/off very rapidly until the game recognizes you are trying to press one.
3. Still rough around the edges: A building covers one of the tutorial buttons, LOTS of unused floor space in the main building (for expansion perhaps?), tutorials are simple diorama stands with a ghost hand mimicking what you should do (this just seems unfinished to me)
The game is $10.99 at the time of review so it is not too expensive. At the same time, it is not listed as an EA game but feels very much like one. Wishlist it wait for further enhancements.

I mean, for the price- its not bad; what makes me give this a positive review though is the fact that the developer seems to care and has been regulalrly updating the game- changing both map design, wave enemies, and other things in an attempt to make Defendion more complex than what it was- this is one of the few Early Access VR games that is actually changing between weeks, which gives me hope as to what this game may be a few weeks, or even months later. Take a look at the game's news/ update history or at the discussions board for this game- the devs care.
