Welcome Back To 2007 2 is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This is a particularly bad, very lazy Russian effort with slapped together garbage pixel assets and music presumably ripped off from someone else. There's some joke theme about being an emo kid from two decades ago, nobody cares. The technical implementation is on par with the game concept: Terrible. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The controls are also floaty and imprecise, something you need to get right when doing a platformer, but then again this was all just copy + pasted from some template in Clickteam Fusion. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Clickteam Fusion game engine/toolset - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Welcome Back To 2007 2 is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Ahh yes, this is the sequel that we did not deserve. The DLC is a banger for all the boys and their needs.

The girl with the blue hair wasn't in the game besides the main menu, which disappointed me greatly. The game was still fun though. I completed the whole game in one sitting.

I thought I'd try this game since it's so cheap but it's really boring. The levels are so uncreative that it feels like a child made them. Zigzagging through a maze for 2 minutes isn't fun.

A game you won't like, but need to finish. That's about it, if you feel your life is going too good for comfort, play this game. Everyone deserves some suffering from time to time.
