The Chronicles of Quiver Dick offers original humor and lots of chuckles over the course of two hours of "RPG" adventuring. A strong entry in the comedy RPG Maker genre. I got this game on sale for $2.39, and I feel it's a little expensive for what it is. Still worth picking up though.

This game was hilarious. The game ran smooth, the story was funny and engaging, and made myself and my viewers laugh so much. It is not a game for anyone who finds themselves prudish or with a desire to play something serious. I would recommend this to anyone who has a crude sense of humor and just wants to enjoy some great visuals. GG Crankage Games!

Just like in Metal as Phuk, a lot of the inside jokes went right over my head, but man..... there were a few moments that literally made me laugh out loud. Like... guffaw. It was kind of embarrassing, and my roommate made fun of me. The humor in these games is fantastic, even if you don't like vulgar language, or whatever (but why wouldn't you?)

A short but fantastic game full of humour (some lurid, some just cheesy), song references, great story and characters, and a fully enjoyable experience overall. For the price it’s a no-brainer if you enjoy JRPG-style games.

After playing 'Quiver Dicks Terrible Tale for Terrible Parents to Tell Their Equally Terrible Children' I ended up buying this game and the bundle and this was the first I played. I ultimately enjoyed this game and every 'map' had something unique that either gave me a laugh or referenced something I could relate to. Song references exist in this game and they truly make this game amazing to play through and I found myself talking to everyone just to see if they made some reference. 10/10

Gave me a lot of good laughs. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to playing the sequel (I got the game but haven't played it yet) and I hope the creators will consider making a longer game that's also in this kind of RPG style!

Fuck yeah ! That is pure gold, imma get me a jerkin' now ! More seriously, it's pretty short and linear BUT besides South Park and The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk it's the funniest game i've played to date. Probably the best indie game i've played to date !

Check it out dudes its worth it! ps: the sloppy eggplant is your best friend! trust me pps: steam doesnt allow some words, sooooo thats why i put some extra dots

This is a quick, enjoyable story game. I would not call it an RPG by any means, because you don't really have any choices to make. You follow the story, fight a few monsters, and laugh along the way. There are only two weapons you can find, small upgrades to your base weapon. Your real damage is from your skills, though, that you automatically get when you level up. There are no choices when it comes to skills. You get a new one almost every time you level up. And, a few of the skills you will never even use, mainly the one that cures your ailments/debuffs. Debuffs in this game only last for one round of combat for some reason, then they're gone. So, there is no use to your cure skill or your cure potions. Healing and more MP is another thing. You will use these all the time. The combats are fairly long, I think mainly because the game is so short and there are so few combats. Each one is unique and scripted with dialogue, so that's pretty cool. But, overall the combat is not difficult. The story is amusing, and I look forward to more chronicles from these guys. They say their plans are to put a few more out even this year, so they're cranking them out! Oh yeah . . . the music is pretty damn rockin'. But, the title screen song is freaking brilliant! A wonderful rock ballad for the gaming ages. Listen to it! No achievements, but hey, the world needs ditch diggers, too! So, Jake and Elwood give this one a thumbs up for an enjoyable way to spend two to three hours, but a thumbs mildly down for lack of RPGishness.

The Chronicles of Quiver Dick is the second game released by Crankage Games (the first being Metal as Phuk, which I enjoyed). If you've never played Metal as Phuk, then it's important to know that this developer isn't so worried about people getting offended and revels in crass humor. So, if you can get behind that, then diving in will reveal another fun and irreverent adventure in what I expect to be a long running series of games from Crankage.
Story
The Chronicles of Quiver Dick is meant to be the first in a series of short stories told by Quiver Dick. This one functions as part of his origin story, wherein he meets his wife for the first time. It is presented as a grandfather telling his grandchildren a story about his past. However, as you will find out later, this is no ordinary family, lol. Beyond that, this is a story of pop culture memes. 7/10
Gameplay
The gameplay in Chronicles of Quiver Dick is pretty classic RPG Maker JRPG fare as far as combat goes. There is zero grinding in this game, which I appreciate. Everything is pretty linear overall, which sort of nullifies the RPG aspect, but really, that design decision is purposeful and works perfectly for this game. You will be overpowered pretty much throughout the game, but since this really takes on the persona of a visual novel rather than an RPG, I'd say that also works. It's not challenging, but the fights are still fun regardless (especially since there will be amusing commentary throughout the fights). I experienced zero technical issues with this and everything functioned as intended. 8/10
Graphics
The graphics are literally RPG Maker style, and so I think you already know what to expect. However, the character and level designs also happen to make sense, which isn't common in many of this game's peers. A quality effort with a fari amount of diversity. 7/10
Audio
The audio in TCoQD are on point, which I expected going in. I was obviously not disappointed. The various music tracks in this game are pretty stellar. Not once did I hear anything I didn't like, and many could easily go into a playlist for jamming while driving or what have you. 9/10
Verdict
The Chronicles of Quiver Dick was a fun first entry into this particular Crankage Games story line. I enjoyed the pace and appreciated it's shorter length. A nice experience, and a solid way to spend and afternoon while still having time to make dinner afterwards. :) @Crankage: Also, thanks for the memorials. I thought those to be a nice touch in the game. The shout outs (so to speak) to fans of MaP was likewise cool. 7.5 metal riffs playing through a hybrid modern/medieval society out of 10 possible.
