Grandpa Reviews

As of 2/16/2025 (February 16th, 2025) I think this is one of the LAST games you would want to buy. The only reason I actually decided to buy this was because I haven't played this in YEARS and wanted to have some nostalgia. Anyway here are the reasons why I would not recommend this game. 1. Most of the mechanics either don't work or barely work. When I tried hiding from Grandpa it wouldn't let me hide even when I clicked E numerous times after a couple seconds of clicking it once. If you do somehow manage to hide don't be surprised if he kills you from 7 feet away. Most the buttons on the pause menu don't even work and hell you can't even leave the game because the "Quit Game" button doesn't even work and you have to manually close it. 2. It's barely scary. The reason I say this is because all he does is run at you with a rake and when he catches up to you it looks like he's kicking you but I can't even tell since the killing animations look super weird. Sure 3. This is unrelated but the same group/company (Pudding) that made this game has also made some other games that are super crappy too and have had legit copied other games source code and replace the enemy model with a more popular model like Bendy and etc. I have only seen 1 game they completely ripped off named "Big Fat Neighbor" made by a group named "Cheesecake Dev". 4. Design. Okay, if you are going to make a horror game one of the requirements is the design and that's 1 of the many ways of creeping the gamers out. This was one of the reasons I was not scared. 5. The bugs. Whenever I pick up objects sometimes the object will just be right in my face affecting my view and giving Grandpa more time to come find me and kill me. When I run also it'll most of the time not even do the running animation and my camera will start shaking. It's also strange how Grandpa can just walk through any door and like 10 seconds later after going through the door it'll open or close (Depending on the position it was in before Grandpa walked by/through it) This is all I have for now. This might or already be the most rushed Unity project I've seen.
