I need a girl to talk about me the same way Saturn talks about String of Pearls.

Be a gay disaster in space and make out with your "enemies". Have existentialist self-crises. What more could you ask for?

If you like 'abstract' worldbuilding, weird mecha & weirder women, and relationships fraught with complications, I recommend this. It's a “shortish” visual novel where you play a total of three routes, with a handful of different endings and choices leading to different narrative beats. Like everything ever made, it’s not for everyone—a lot about it feels niche, tailored to a specific audience, and I love that about it. I wouldn’t say it’s inaccessible to people outside of that niche at all; the 'abstract' storytelling is likely the biggest roadblock to parsing it. Because the routes can feel repetitive as some scenes repeat (some don’t), I recommend waiting a bit before playing each character. Maybe write down some notes using the Steam Notes feature on what choices you made so you can maximize seeing unique stuff on every character’s route. This visual novel would have benefited from having an autoskip for things already seen. It’s missing accessibility features; some of the screen filters would benefit from having the option to turn them off. If you have sensitive eyes, play it in a window. I found myself wishing for more unique scenes for each character; the character intended to be the first felt like she got the most love. The writing is very atmospheric, it didn't blow me away but I would not say it was written badly either. Overall, I’m glad I played it!

First visual novel i've ever experienced, i'm glad I gave it a shot, the different perspectives along with the relationships both the main caste and some of the support characters have with eachother are intriguing. The stubbornness and love the pilots have for eachother and their dreams is wonderful.

Starting with the bad things - I feel like the text could use some proofreading, there were some sentences that didn't make sense grammatically or logically, and many were hard to read because of lack of interpunction. There were also some inconsistencies. That said, the story was actually interesting and I liked the aesthetics, so I enjoyed the game. If you're wondering which character you should play first, I feel like Luna-Terra's storyline has messages that explain the lore in most straightforward way. TLDR: God I wish girls were real

Such a heartfelt and cute game with interesting themes and a fascinating premise. The way the story pushes you to imagine beyond imagination is marvellous! Some of the panels within reminded me of a discontinued webcomic known as METAFURQUEST. The loose, blocky style, weaved in through careful placement and timing added so much to the game. An absolutely brilliant visual novel that truly uses the medium to its strengths. Also it's really cool to see women kiss.

Heaven Will Be Mine feels like the offspring of a mecha anime and a Judith Butler book. Mechanically, it is very similar to Worst Girls Games' previous title We Know the Devil, and the music and art are both still fantastic and evocative, but the writing is much denser and there's a lot more of it. Queerness is explored on a very theoretical level, hence the Butler comparison, but of course the narrative is also very queer in terms of both content (trans people, lesbians, wow!) and structure (there's no simplistic binary good/bad endings here). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested in understanding queerness from a deeper philosophical perspective -- but a lot of this heavier writing is kept in optional texts, so I would still recommend this is you just want to see girls making out in space (and really, who would blame you?).
