Crucible Falls is a very enjoyable coop game with interesting cooperative riddles. We had a lot of fun in our nearly 6h gaming session and even after several playthroughs we didn’t discover all the different endings. All riddles are solvable, we never discovered a game breaking bug (hint: read the title of the plan next to the alien cube). The visual side of the game is great, not perfect, but it generates a spooky atmosphere. To be honest… I had more fun with this game than with the other AAA Games that came out recently. :)

I just found this game by searching for online coop games. And it was my luck!
The game puts the two player on a some kind strange place where they have to work together to escape. On your first run you will encounter some difficult and sometimes maybe frustrating bits but in the end it is a great feeling to finally solve all the puzzles (or maybe not all ;) ) and finish the game.
And me and my friend thought, well we play this game through once and have fun. How wrong we were!
After our first run there came another three playthroughs. For what, you ask? Well to beat the leaderboard on the website of course.
So all in all it is a remarkable game. Not for its rich story or for an amazing graphic (which is also not bad!) , but for a absolute fine and entertaining gaming concept and long time challenge for speedruns.
Thanks for making such games!

If you value your friendships or sanity, do not buy this game. If someone gifts you this game, you should probably unfriend them. If you've received this game for free, I'm sorry my friend, but you are actually dead and in hell, this is your punishment for being a horrible person in life.
This might be the game for you if you enjoy controls that only sometimes work, extremely poor surprise platformers, or loads of red herrings.
I once got lost hiking in the mountains for 5 hours, got altitude sickness and was sure I was going to die. I thought it was the worst moment of my life, but in reality it was playing this game.
Turn back now unless you are TOO happy with your life and want to slum it up for a while.

I bought this looking for something like the We Were Here series (just played through all 3 with a friend). It's not anywhere close to as good as those. We beat Crucible, but got a pretty bad glitch that left a book open on my screen that I couldn't close about 3/4 of the way through and had to restart the whole game. Some of the puzzles were ok, but lots of 'you did it wrong now you die and have to start over, especially toward the end that was extremely tedious.

A fun game if you're not braindead. Tad buggy but the developer is good at updating the game for fixes. Worth the money to support a great dev for future games.

It was a tad buggy. But it was fun as hell. I love to support new developers so it was well worth the 5$.
Some annoyances and unclear strategies were had, not sure if we won because we gamed the system or not but hey, that is what fun is.
I would love to see more levels or expansion options and polishing up and this game will be a solid.

Wow! What a game! A friend and I played this game together, and man this was fun! The puzzles can be challenging, and you need to make sure that you read EVERYTHING! If you have the right partner in this game, it will be amazing. This was fun, exciting, and at times a little scary! Worth every penny, and hoping that this company makes another game like it soon! Will be keeping my eyes open for the next one!

Had a great time playing Crucible Falls, great effort guys! The puzzles are a great challenge and rewarding when you solve them. Be prepared to use communication and your puzzle-solving skills!
One of the things I appreciate most about this is honestly it's challenge level. I feel some game genre's have started to hold our hands too much, and it's nice to see a solid challenge with minimal instruction. Makes you think rather than have glowingly over-obvious goals.

This game seems to use the 2 hour timelimit to make it so you finish the game right around where you wouldn't be able to return it.
Played it for about an hour, the game had multiple bugs, somewhat shoddy controls, the voice chat in-game was so low we had to use a third party app in order to talk to each other. At one point a EAR PIERCING screech from someone onfire shreaks in the one players ear trying to be horror but more just a way to damage your ear drums.
I like the fact that they're trying to be a horror "We Were There" type of game, but dislike the fact that it doesn't feel like a finished, polished product like the original We Were There (Which is free) was. Along with the puzzles were glitchy/broken.
For example, the second puzzle, after solving it can be re-activated and inavertly breaks, which ruins the game until you restart. The puzzle afterwords seems to not follow the clue it gives, then shoves the other player in an almost empty room aside from an extremely loud wailling body on fire that chases you, which can be thwarted by positioning yourself inbetween 2 garbage barrels.
Overall, good attempt at something that could be a worthwhile co-op game. However the many game breaking bugs and overall unfinished feeling of the game makes this game fall short of being something I can recommend to people.

Sadly… this was not a great experience. My friend & myself had to face various issues… 😓
Notice that we both like or play this kind of co-op puzzle games (like the We Were Here series among others).
So here we go:
-technical aspect: needs optimization, needs to be polished (clipping, texture problems, bad lighting, variable framerate).
-logic: some puzzles can cause problems.
-we got stuck at some point because I would only respawn in another room instead of the puzzle room.
We could not find a way to avoid this and restarted the game. We had the same problem again then decided to stop.
-visually it could be a little improved, detailed.
-there is a little story but all the problems above did not help us wanting to know how it continues…
If this game gets updated someday maybe give it a try if it's cheap, otherwise don't loose your time for now.
In its current state it is just not enjoyable, sorry.
