A fun callback to the old days of Pokémon and the Game Boy Color. While I do recommend this game, it is very rough. There are many bugs and errors that are not intentional hindrances, making one feel like they are playing an older game. Sprites glitch, the screen camera and game stop randomly, and the way learning progresses could be improved. That said, it is a good foundation for a series. I like the darker, rougher tone to the world. and the semi-open world was nice to explore. The monsters themselves are neat, and the breeding mechanic is addictive. It's worth a shot if you enjoy this kind of game, but I wouldn't blame anyone for skipping it. I am looking forward to the sequel that is to come, as it shows many signs of improvement.

Imma start by saying I had wayyy too much fun in this game making deranged monster fusions lol. Literally the combinations are limitless. The aesthetics kinda harken back to the Pokémon red/blue era. The story is ok. Game also has a good difficulty spike.
There were a few bugs, though. Nothing too detrimental, but if you play make sure to save often. A few times I accidentally walked out of bounds or just got stuck and had to reload my save. Still worth every penny though.
Looking forward to the sequel!!!
