boring and repetitive. awful art style. pretty accurate to the book and the "did you know"s are fun, but that's about it for the positive aspects

Well... It's Ok. This is an HO game with a little P&C. The graphics are decent. The music is adequate. The story is based on The Miserables so it can't fail, can it?
No bugs or crashes.
Overall, entertaining. Yeah, the game is mostly HO, and no, that's not a reason to hate on it, nor doing 2 clicks back and forward and calling it "a lot of backtracking". Some dudes really like to complain about petty details. Anyway, the HO scenes are OK, some things are a little hard to spot but that's the fun, right? Finding things...hidden. The story is easy to follow but yeah, guess there are some bits a little absurd. Easy to do mini-games. It's just a little game that you can finish in one sit. It's very casual. If you like the genre you probably will like it, unless you have fixed ideas about the exact way the genre should be delivered and you think it MUST have cards and achievements to give your thumb up. It's acceptable the way it is, so I recommend it to ya.
