If you love to collect achievements very easily this game is for you! It is so retro and difficult to play which makes the game fun and it is also cheap.

Yikes. This is going to sound harsh, but I hope the Devs find a way to use my negative review constructively to improve on future games. What a pile of unfinished and unplayable hot garbage this is. This seems like it could be a fun game. If it would only work... I was puzzled by the lack of reviews for this title. I'm a sucker for cheap, indie games so I picked it up anyway and I've had nothing but problems with it. First, the opening text that sets up the story is a gigantic wall of text that made my eyes bleed. Paragraphs are your friend! Learn them, love them, use them! It was a huge pain to strain my eyes to read the text wall. But I did. Ugh. This is supposed to based off true story which was intriguing. But the actual gameplay and mechanics were crap. The controls were simple enough to understand. WASD or arrow keys for movement, click to shoot, space to jump, and a few other keys to swap weapons. I never got to swap any weapons so I'm not sure what they are. Just getting the game past the into screen should give you an achievement. I had to restart the game SIX times to get the intro screen to stop locking up the game. Oof. Once you can actually get to the part where you play the game, everything is on high speed and it's impossible to navigate. Something is clearly badly wrong with this game if it is working this poorly. It is in desperate need of performance patches and optimization tweaks. As it is: THIS IS NOT A FINISHED GAME. It's just some janky dumpster fire that someone put up for sale before completing the actual development stage. Just don't hold your breath for any patches or improvements. The last time it received any attention from the developer was one month after release, so it was basically dumped on Steam and abandoned.

Terrible game. The dialogue is awful and overall gameplay was boring. As a fan of platformers, I was highly disappointed. Just wasn't worth the money (even on sale).

great unique scary game in 2D as you can get. The biggest problem is the jump shouldn't be the up button it should be a regular button than this game would be perfect. I died so many times because of not jumping correctly. If your going to keep it this way then please dont make us start from the beginning after death

This retro horror platform game is not perfect. You can finish it in an hour, and it doesn't have the depth or polish of other retro horror platformers (Possum Hollow comes to mind) to keep you coming back to replay it. Some of the achievements require grinding and seemingly must be completed in a single playthrough. You can stockpile a boatload of ammo by repeatedly dying (infinite lives) and collecting the powerups (rather useful, actually, for one boss and for the final timed survival level). The engine, apparently the same used in the developer's Smashing Pumpkins game, is buggy and not that smooth or fun. It really feels comparable to a The Games Factory or early MultiMedia Fusion engine. But oddly enough, therein lies a lot of the game's charm. It stirs up memories of the freeware games of twenty years ago. Plenty of which were from relatively inexperienced programmers who got a game creation program and tried their hand at it. This developer has put in work above and beyond the average, making some creative design choices with what the program can do. Some levels are standard mindless action fare, albeit with some differences. Others, however, are mostly simple exloration levels with a couple of hazards and some spooky effets. They're simple but unusual and effective, not spooky but a kind of Halloween scare-houser fun. There is also a surprising amount of plot in the game involving several characters. It doesn't have a lot of logic or traditional progression but ads to the overall fun factor. All this combines to give a smiple horror platformer a bit of substance and evoke a different time, one we don't often recall. Yeah, I'm recommending it, with the understanding that the gameplay is on the poor side. It's worth a playthrough and it's fairly priced. One can imagine the developers toying with the idea of making a series of games about this ghost-busting crew's cases (and they definitely throw in some humor). I'll never be the biggest fan of that engine, but the devs didn't half-ass it and have made . . . an experience. So good on you chaps.
