You can watch my video review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/LkCXQOm4oqg
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I bought this game for $2.49 USD during the Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2019. I thought I was getting a good deal for a hidden indie gem in VR. It looked very cool in the store page video and screenshots to me ... a relaxing platformer with cool visual aesthetics. Unfortunately, the game is a buggy mess. This game has one of the most horrible UIs that I have ever dealt with in VR. It's difficult to start the game. If you look at the Steam Discussion area for this game, you will see a post about the game not starting. Well, that's because the UI is so horrible that it's very easy to not see how to start the game. It will test your eye sight to start this game because you will have to find the vanishing red reticle to start this game. It took me about a minute to start the game, even after I knew about the vanishing red reticle and how exactly to start the game. If that were the game's only problem, I might still recommend it, but alas that's just the start of the problem. Movement is clunky. You have a little tutorial that tells you what the basic movements are, but then nothing else is explained. Do you need to collect the balls on the platforms? Are there other objectives other than getting to the light? You get the pyramids for additional ammo, but the ball is never explained. Then you get an upgrade that looks like a shield on your arm but I have no idea what it does. I got stuck in the 4th or 5th level. I was floating in space with no way to get to where I wanted. I have no idea what your'e supposed to do there. It seems I'm just floating away and if there is a way to get somewhere you're supposed to go, I have no idea how to do it after pressing every single imaginable button and combination thereof. It seems you have a rocket booster where your shield upgrade is, but I could not figure out how to use it. Rate 3/10. Yeah, I'm asking for a refund. As the store page video states, "Actions have consequences."
