Not a great walking simulator. The graphics are ugly, performance is bad, almost everything looks the same, it's short. Also you can get stuck at some objects. Still it's not a terrible game, especially for the price.

It's not great, collision detection is bad, and game relies more on rote memorization rather than by communicating anything to player. Add the obtuse story, and you have a grade C Horror Kind-of game.

Meh... I'll give it thumbs up because it has a bit of content and there are a few interesting moments, plus the price is next to nothing. However, the A.I. is weird and there are quite a few glitches and invisible barriers everywhere and really no plot.

To sum it up, this game is worth giving a chance for, especially for the price. For a cheap indie game, it does seem like a lot of effort has been put into making it, albeit not a super high quality game. I have not finished it, but here is a simple review list of the game so far: Graphics: Obviously not the best, but good enough so you are still immersed in the game. Story: Simple and straightforward, but the game is more centered around spooky elements. Gameplay: Very simple, pretty much a walking simulator but there is still a level of interactiveness. Bugs: There are quite a few, but they are avoidable and not very big, mostly just getting stuck. Objectives: Probably where this game lacks the most, as most of the time you are scratching your head wondering where to go or what to do. Spookiness: Moderately spooky, sort of lovecraftian as opposed to just 24/7 jumps cared like most indie games; things are set up in a creepy ominous way. Overall, you should give this game a try as long as you are a patient player. Just looking at the price, it is at least worth playing for a bit. If the developer put some effort into specifying the objectives some more and maybe just spiced up the map, it would be a much better game. When taking into account the low price, this game is a 6/10 indie game. It is worth buying and trying.

Very cool and very creepy game indeed! When I was recording I did encounter a couple of bugs, but nothing crazy. I love the fact that there are multiple endings so I'll be sure to come back and find the rest! I've been waiting for this game to come out for about 2 months and can say it was pretty worth it. For maximum terror, don't go to bed the night before like I did! XD Now to go take the trash down in the dark in an area that's know to have a lot of deer. Weeee!!!

The game feels intresting and has alot of potential, if the graphics were better. Overall it needs multiplayer its boring to play it solo.

This game had been sitting in my library for almost a year. I decided what the hell might as well see if this game had any content. Boy was I surprised; this is a masterpiece of a game. Albeit a short game, it is definitely worth multiple playthroughs. I would recommend referencing a game guide to help (https://steamah.com/the-deer-achievements-endings-guide/). Lets cover the pros and cons. Pros: An Absolute Gem Smooth FPS around 250-350 Multiple Game Modes A Memorable Gameplay Experience Save Money by Never Needing to Play Another Game Again Understand the Secrets of The Universe Ascend Into Godhood Cons: My Dad Still Hasn't Come Back with Milk and Cigarettes :(

Played through this game not knowing what to expect as I'm no horror fanatic. That being said this is a well made game, especially for the price. Its suspenseful and what storyline that is there is very interesting so props to the devs for making this, I'd definitely recommend playing through this as there are four different endings. Keep in mind there is no save system so once you hit "begin" you're in it until you're done. I currently only have the second ending. I have an 18 minute playthrough to the 2nd ending here, it does have commentary and it spoils so if thats not your thing don't click it and try yourself! https://youtu.be/nKqlOTQymj0

Pros: Chad Cons: Just about everything else. The story is pretty interesting in the sense that there is none and by none I mean what the fuck is this story? The whole plot of the story can be summed up as "We are looking for big foot and we are pretty fucking bad at it.". If you think the main characters might, in any way, be competent I want you to think about this situation. *Random spot light turns on* Chad turns to you with a twinkle of hope in his eye "I know what you're thinking, but there might be a big foot up there" The search for spotlight usin, game camera abusin big foot continues. The bounding boxes in this game are ridiculous. As you're walking around you will undoubtedly run into several invisible walls and think to yourself "Maybe this is the border too the map" and you, sir or madam, would be incorrect. Almost every rock in this game has a huge square bounding box over them in a lazy attempt to make boundaries. You will almost never find yourself actually stepping over a rock instead you will be floating in the air above them at, sometimes, incredible heights. There is, give or take, at least 5 places you can easily walk into and get stuck and have to restart the game. This includes: Stairs,Rocks,Trees,Bridges,Varying depths of water,A door,A ceiling, and even a fridge if you fuck about long enough. The voice acting is just god awful, but so god awful that it is actually hilarious. Listening to chad give a strange half southern, half completely fucking stoned accent is probably the highlight of this game. Almost every part of the game is a bug. Either jumping through walls, outrunning an npc and yet still hearing him talk as if he was in the room, quest objectives not updating, Boundaries not working correctly, getting stuck because of clipping. Ill ignore the fact there is no menu, no saves, no continues, no interesting gameplay, no reason to play this game. Save your 6$ and go buy yourself a beer.
