Cute way to bring the old story back to life. Easy puzzles & decent graphics.

Good:

Bad:

Resolution

This makes the hidden object scenes more difficult due to low fidelity. I was supposed to know that bundle of few pixels was the object you claimed it was?

Defaulting to full screen forces all open windows to be resized to letter stamp sized as the game changes desktop resolution.

On all the sliding puzzles it's almost impossible to slide objects left-right. Usually it needs tens of tries until the game finally gets that you don't want to slide the object up or down.

Jigsaw puzzle mechanics, needing to switch the tool between move/rotate/slide instead of allowing for instance right click to rotate and left click to move. Also the sliding bug also affects this puzzle type, making it almost impossible to slide the tiles horizontally, and sometimes it doesn't even want to slide them up-down until nth try.
So, while the game does do the hidden object scenes very nicely, the technical execution is poor and very buggy.

This is a sweet, short game. I would say it's great for younger kids, or older kids-at-heart who fondly remember reading Lewis Carroll's book as a child. It is definitely not one of the high-end, content-rich HOPA games, but as long as you don't have unreasonable expectations going in, you should be able to enjoy yourself. I certainly did. I would even go so far as to say it was a rather relaxing game!

Definitely not the best HOG out there, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Pretty easy but fun mini games. If you don't like sliding puzzles those might get a little repetitive, but I enjoy doing them. The story doesn't add much to the original, but it was fun experiencing the wonderland atmosphere in a very relaxed manner. Only downside was the fact that I could only play this in a small window for some reason, which made some of the objects a bit difficult to find.

Thumbs down. There were too many flaws to recommend this game. The hidden object scenes could have been designed better. Some hidden objects were just small blurry smudges. There was not enough variety in the mini-games. It was the same type of jigsaw puzzle with squares to swap and rotate over and over again. In one of the card puzzles, they did not translate the face cards from French to English. R(roi) and D(dame) should have been translated as K(king) and Q(queen).

Alice is a great relatively easy hidden object game based on the original story by Lewis Carrol, and it even uses the original illustrations by John Tenniel.
Most of the puzzles are pretty straight-forward and the game has a mechanic where you can tilt certain scenes, showing or hiding objects, which is pretty unique.
Apart from basic hidden object puzzles there are also jigsaw puzzles, with pieces that have to be rotated as well as swapped, and sliding puzzles where you have to clear a path. There are even some match-3 puzzles and whack-a-mole types included. The game doesn't always tell you what the goal is or even what the rules are after the first puzzle of its type, but it's easy to figure out.
Unfortunately, the resolution is pretty low which makes it hard to recognize objects. There is a built-in zoom function but even with it enabled as well as the Windows magnifier, some objects are just impossible to find which results in blind clicking. The worst example of this is a puzzle where you have to click about 50 roses hidden among other objects... even with using the game's (generous) hints I could not see what in the highlighted circle I was supposed to click on.
If this annoys you too much, use the hints or just skip the entire puzzle.
But these downsides don't detract from the fact this is genuinely good and pretty HO game with a lot more to offer than is standard.

pros
+ nice looking colorful background graphics
+ hidden object scenes mostly enjoyable
+ hint system helpful
+ there is auto save
+ story based on Alice in Wonderland
+ game is cheap
+ The music was pleasant.
cons
- there are no voice overs
- unresponsive mouse clicks in side scrolling puzzles
- there was not enough variety in the mini-games. same type of jigsaw and swap & rotate tiles to make a picture type puzzles are used too often and that makes game pretty repetitive after a while
- low resolution which makes sometimes hard to recognize tiny and blurry background objects
- game is short
- there are no cards and achievements
Overall, i barely recommend this game. it is cheap so you can try it if it get discounted.

Terrible game, has you seek and find objects that aren't there. For instance a broom is listed, after searching I used a hint and it circled a paid of scissors. I needed a strawberry and when I clicked on a ruff, it marked the strawberry as found!

Alice in Wonderland turned out to be a really nice game after a slow and frustrating start because it took me a while to figure out if there was a Hint button or a Skip button or a Menu button or a button that gave me the instructions for some of the mini-games and puzzles. I've played many hidden object games and I'm used to seeing dozens of hidden object scenes, mini-games, and puzzles. Not to mention looking for collectibles and morphing objects, etc.
This game keeps everything simple and easy. You have to find a certain number of items in the same scene and then you interact on something and then it takes you back to the same scene to find a different set of items. There are several different hidden object scenes and you have to go back a couple of times in each scene. I was able to find the majority of the items but some of them were embedded so well into the scene that I had to enlarge the scene in order to find them.
Being able to enlarge the scene is a big plus in this game. I like that you can click on the magnifying glass and it enlarges the scene and you can move it around; it makes it so much easier to find things. That was the only way I could find the last one or two items that eluded me.
There are also a lot of jigsaw puzzles in the game, which I really enjoyed. I love doing jigsaw puzzles and, if you get stuck on the jigsaw puzzle or any other puzzle, I found out, through trial and error, that if you click on the puzzle piece on the right side, it will show you what the puzzle is supposed to look like. This is also a big plus.
The two things that were frustrating to me was:
1. The buttons are not labeled. I couldn't tell which button was the Menu button, or the Hint button, or the Skip button, etc. I tried to hover over them to see if the name would show up but it didn't. I had to find out through trial and error what each button meant.
2. Some of the mini-games and puzzles did not give you instructions on what to do. But, I didn't have a problem figuring out what to do because I recognized them from other hidden object games I've played so I knew what I had to do. There were a couple of mini-games though that did have instructions but they weren't really clear. I had to shoot certain things until I built up a certain number of points. The problem is the instructions didn't tell me to only shoot one of the things. I couldn't understand why I wasn't building up points until it hit me. So this was something else I had to find out through trial and error.
Once I figured out what the buttons did what and how to play the mini-games and the puzzles, this the game actually became much more fun and enjoyable for me. The graphics were beautiful. The music was pleasant. The voices were well done. The hidden object scenes, the mini-games, and the puzzles were simple and easy,
All in all, I really liked this game. Experienced HOG players would probably not like this game because it's not super hard and challenging but beginners and those who like simple and easy hidden object games would probably like this game, especially those who like the Alice in Wonderland story, which is what attracted me to this game. I love fairytales and this is one of my favorite fairytales.
