So far its pretty hard to find people in a game, and there is a lot of bugs. You cant go above "Low" graphics or the game gets stuttery (Coming from a 1080ti). The game has a lot of potential, When it does work its a lot of fun, but as of right now I cant reccomend it.

I'm really excited for this game to evolve. Game world's like Bioshock infinte. Graphics are like Artikka 1. I only requesr that free locomotion and snap turns be added. It seems like this needs to be optimized a bit more for the rift as I found my first playthrough a bit glitchy but I'm definitely not refunding this. I'm willing to invest and wait through early access as their is immense potential here. Also, looking forward to their companion game, Atomic Heart.

Supersampling and/or AA doesn't seem to be working/implemented, points popups whevever you kill a target are huge and obscure your vision preventing you from aiming at targets behind them, your in-game hands are also huge and not lined up with your IRL hands, bullets seem to pass right through targets if they're extremely close to you, and all this from just playing for like five minutes.

It's interesting that MundFish would release the VR version of Atomic Heart the year before it is released. The game seems very promising and I'm glad to know they will be adding a story mode to Lunapark eventually. Not a bad shooting/arcade game for 12 bucks (sale). There are definitely bugs and features that need to be fixed in Lunapark. The aiming of guns is awkward but the laser sights compensates. The special abilities/classes are fun and I hope they add more in the future. Outrageous and humorous. Play this game if you like a simple shooting arcade where you can also observe the progress of Atomic Heart's development (to some extent). It makes perfect sense why this is "Early Access".

So far I love this game. I like the unique individual powers that each character has. I can't wait for the single player campaign. I still need to play multiplayer but so far so good with trying all the current levels and characters which I did. The special powers are awesome. The guy with the grenades is the only generic one but it still works. My personal favorite is the slow-mo special power that I think is the soldier class. Just keep up the development and I will keep playing. Thanks for the fun and take care.

The visuals are interesting but lack of many option to improve image quality. As it is now, the option let you choose between Low, Normal and High quality and that's it. Regarding the game, you choose one hero among 4 in total. Each hero have their own weapons and ability. The map looks open and wild. Unfortunately, you are stuck in a little roomscale with invisible wall. I don't understand this choice. The game let you move around with Teleportation or Free locomotion, but you are stuck. The difficulty is very hard near impossible if you play solo. The mobs are moving very fast and since you can't really move to evade them, you die miserably. If the game will stay as it is now. I don't recommend it.

*** March 11, 2019 UPDATE *** The dev dropping support for this game and then offering a promo code for a 3rd party website is totally ridiculous. You want us to buy Atomic Heart? Not until you make this right for your all your customers who bought Soviet Lunapark. Report this dev to steam until this issue is made right, if ever. You can view my video about this here: https://youtu.be/iVoOvcZQsYA *** Original Review Below ***
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a singleplayer or online coop wave shooter. I am giving a very tepid recommendation. This game is Early Access because it feels like Early Access. The danger as always is that the game may not improve at all or may only improve slightly. A dev can always abandon the game. So if you feel uncomfortable with any of that, don't buy the game. The good news is that they have Atomic Heart coming out and they probably don't want bad reviews/press if they mess this game up, especially since they are related. Currently, there are 4 stages, a showroom (showcasing some old TV sets I think), a underground sewage level, an underground tunnel railway stage, and lastly a theatre prop stage with robots. You can pick one of 4 characters and they not only look different but have different weapons and special abilities. You have a nurse who has a handgun and a special ability to turn a zombie into your ally, a soldier who has a rifle and a useless shield ability, an explosive guy who has a gun and a explosive aoe ability, and lastly a guy with a neat automatic smg type gun with a slow time ability (I'm doing this all by memory so I apologize if it's not 100% correct on the characters). These are all wave based stages. You can teleport around or move freely within a limited area, but sadly you cannot smooth turn or even snap turn (real life turning only). You can also change visuals from low, medium or high quality. I found the nurse to be the best character. The zombie ally is really good at taking aggro leaving you time to reload and take the easy ones out. I found the soldier to be the worst. I enjoyed the visuals. Each stage looked unique. Each stage had almost the same types of zombies, with some minor differences. But at least each zombie type acted differently. The first level stage had a nice little story to it through a P.A. system. The second, third and 4th stage all had a little puzzle to start the waves. I was able to beat the first and second stage solo using the nurse, but they didn't have any boss. Maybe the 3rd stage has one. Looking at the story page, it seems like the 4th stage definitely has a boss. But the 4th stage is the hardest one. I can't see how anyone could do that solo currently. This game is more fun with others. Good luck with finding others though. I was able to play one stage with another human being and that was fun. One of the very neat things is that there is an area to explore outside the main starting hub. You can play whack-a-mole, although it's buggy. You can play with a blow up doll, but it's bushy. You can find a hidden area and see the video to the story mode campaign for Atomic Heart which looks awesome. You can feed the dolphins apples, but it doesn't work at all. And finally, you can spin tops. This game has great potential. I don't mind risking $11 for it. But I'm not sure about this dev. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they deliver on their promises. We'll see. Rate 6/10. Subject to change my review with future updates. And if you want to play let me know. I would love a full party of 4 to try to beat every level!
p.s. I did things that I'm not proud of with that blow up doll ... yeah, I need serious help and I need to get out more .. please help
Alright, a lot to cover here for the 0 people who’ll see this because it got removed from Steam. 1. The game is good even if people are complaining it’s broken and I couldn’t play it to the fullest extent because I have a WMR not a vive. 2. Mundfisk is a good developer from what I’ve seen but the whole thing around this game is just… sketchy. 3. They didn’t give much warning about the promo, also the promo they linked led to a possibly malicious website which steam Auto-blocked. Listen, Mundfisk; I love the idea of Atomic heart. As soon as I found out about Soviet Lunarpark I brought it without any questions asked. I didn’t refund it when I realized I couldn’t use several abilities due to my headset choice because I know that money would be used to fund you guys, but to stop development of this game, fucking over the people who’ve paid for it? I won’t be the first to say it was probably an accident; there is no way to notify a game’s owner about something, but giving people only 1 month to find out about that promo was bullshit. You should have extended that to 6 months at the least. Also, it didn’t help that according to some people the link was auto-blocked by steam and screamed “sketch” to a lot of people. People don’t trust 3rd party websites, especially after they’ve been dicked over by a developer. I’d compare it to the yogventures problem: when the game wasn’t going to be finished the yogscast gave codes out for a game they hoped would be similar but ended up with mixed/negatives reviews. Mundfisk, what you should have done was put development for this game on hold, not remove it. I know you needed funds but seriously, if you post a game you should give it support for a year or more, now sell and leave. I can only hope Atomic heart gets treated with more respect than this.
