Hunt deer like a true American! FUCK YEAH!

Couldn't even play it. Bought this game while it was on sale, thought I could support a simple, indie game. Wasn't expecting anything too complex, just a game I could go in and shoot things. But it literally runs at less than a frame per second. There's no options in the main menu to even attempt to optimize it. I've had issues with games running slow on my laptop before, but I've played both new and old, indie and AAA, and none of them have ran as poorly as this game.

What this game lacks in brand name studio advertising and high profile streamer support, it makes up for in competitive spirit, difficulty, and complexity--as well as top-of-the-line gun physics and breathtaking graphics. With a wide variety of guns to choose from, the meta of DeerHunterX promises to stay fresh for years to come. The Barrett provides a strong optic with laser accuracy, but the M16A4 offers a high rate of fire and larger magazine. Several other guns, including a semiautomatic shotgun, offer a well-balanced selection of loadouts for eager DeerHunters. The AI of the titular "Deer" is beyond that of any AI in any AAA-studio game on the market, Far Cry 5 be damned. They react dynamically to your presence, requiring stealth expertise and careful positioning to kill even the slowest of deer. The constant challenge of increasing your killcount in DeerHunterX's vast and varied landscape provides hours and hours of gameplay; as you master one weapon, the Deer master it as well, learning its sound and how to escape its dangers. The environment of DeerHunterX is amazing, to say the least. The game could be a walking simulator and I would still put hours into it. Rolling hills, dense forests, lush meadows--playing the game takes you to a world as detailed and captivating as Tolkien's Middle Earth, with the added bonus of an endless population of Deer to Hunt(X). Spend a while staring up at the sky. You won't regret it. All in all, DeerHunterX promises to be a mainstay of Steam libraries for any serious and discerning gamer for years to come. The addition of multiplayer, if it comes, will place it in the Hall of Fame with other all-time great competitive FPS games, but until then, the in-depth and captivating open world campaign is sure to reward any gamer willing to put time and dedication into the best indie video game of the 21st century so far.

This game is HILARIOUSLY bad! Made for a fantastically funny video, though. If you're looking to get some chuckles out of your watchers, this is a great 15 minutes of gameplay for you!

This game feels like it had potential. Had, as all the issues should have been fixed by now. I had to tinker under the hood just to get it to run and some of the features from older reviews seem to be gone. 1-9 seem to just switch out weapons now, though you can only carry two, with limited ammo, naturally. All the grass is also gone, and the deer often get stuck on nothing at all. The highlight was when one got caught on an invisible wall and actually walked/flew up into the sky. I got it on sale for .89 cents USD, and that's still too much to be honest. Broken as it is, it ought to be free. Honestly though, if reworked to run smoothly and maybe add some other game animals or a cabin to buy/upgrade in, it could be fun. Refund requested

How many things can a talentless hack screw up in a fake game? How about everything possible! Welcome to DeerHunterX. I was very suspicious when I bought this as it resembles things I've seen and tried on Steam before that were worthless asset dumps excreted out by shady dirtbags to rip people off. While I'm 99.99% sure this is those same dirtbags, this is by far their worst piece of garbage yet. In this thing you are some guy dumped into a large empty green map with knee-high hills and invisible walls. You look around and see deer assets and tree assets dumped into the map just like you were. There are a couple weapons you can pick up although they remain on the tables. Then you can gather unlimited ammo to go around and shoot these braindead deer statues that occasionally animate to walk a couple feet where they go back into statue mode. Nothing works properly in this piece of garbage. You have points listed in the lower left and start with 149,000 or so points and when you pick up weapons you buy them with cash, which is the points. They just didn't bother renaming points to cash as these so called "developers" are as lazy as they are worthless. The deer are so stupid they don't have any A.I. at all. You can walk right up to them, shoot them, whatever you want they don't care, just like "devs". In the top right of the screen you have a kill count which randomly increases whenever it feels like and doesn't count your kills some of the time at all. It might as well be a random number generator. This isn't a game, and if you buy this you aren't a customer, you are the latest sucker of these terrible "developers". Do not buy this. I would say do not buy anything from this "developer" at all but unfortunately Steam allows them to change their dev name with every release they put on the store and that's exactly what they do, because they are shady dirtbags. Luckily these particular fake devs make many mistakes elsewhere that make it very easy to spot them even when they change their names and I show in the video one example. I'd have shown more, I'm sure they have at least 6 things on Steam, but the daily avalanch of worthless trash has buried them and I could only find one other example but it is always the same with this "developer".

This game is just art. A perfect representation of how the corporate life style has ground down workers, forcing them to flee to the country side to hunt deer. The developers manage to encapsulate this by grinding my RTX 2080TI into dust with stunning 4k graphics which sadly cause my pc to run the game at -14 FPS. I am sure this could be a lack of NVIDIA driver support for this stunning game. I hope to save up £40,000 to buy a nasa super computer in the hopes I can run a stable 30 fps and finaly shoot the deers that cannot shoot back. IGN 11/10 would play again!
