Story: 10/10

Gameplay: Kinetic VN
Don't read before The House in Fata Morgana, this is a side-story that spoils many events from the second half of that story.

Requiem for Innocence tells the greatest story I have ever seen. Rather than showing you the world... One day-- Someday-- I'd like to read this again

An amazing story, a really good prequel. The original is unbeatable, but this is worth reading. However, READ THE ORIGINAL FIRST!

absolutely 100% recommend reading fata morgana before requiem for innocence. i liked fata morgana but i think the quality of the writing is ever so slightly better here. good stuff. love to feel sad about these characters

Amazing prequel to the main game and accentuates the already fantastic pre-existing story. The way it expanded more on Jacopo and Morgana's past, including delving further into their thoughts among other things was excellent and gives the reader extra info when it comes to understanding them and their predicaments (not saying the base game didn't do that, Requiem just added onto it). If you enjoyed the base game, check this one out and could even enhance the experience you had with it like it did to me. Just don't read this one before the base game.

I'll never get tired of Fatamoru's OST. This prequel adds backstory to some of the characters from the main game and it really made me appreciate Jacopo as a character. The writing and pacing feel even better than main game but I couldn't really get too invested in any of the character substories besides Jacopo's. Some of them don't really add anything we didn't get already from the main visual novel. Still I enjoyed reading about them, felt like meeting with old friends.
