This game still needs a lot of work. As it is now, it can't come close to matching Thrill of the Fight. So if you're looking for a smooth VR boxing experience, go with that game instead. Areas that need work: 1. When you throw quick punches, tracking is completely lost, so you have to punch in slow motion. 2. Opponents don't stay in your play area. 3. There's a lot of situations where you suddenly glide around the ring, and it feels very disorientating. 4. Your gloves are not in the correct position. The gloves hover several inches in front of where you real hands are. I'm not going to refund it, because I hope the developers improve it into a playable experience. I also like the idea that they're trying to create mutliplayer, which is ambitious and would be really cool if they can achieve it.

Awful. Tracking is very bad, your gloves will often "float" away from their actual position. I use an Index, and tracking very sharp in everything else. When your opponent gets dazed, you can unload on them, but usually my right hand would wander off somewhere. The AI opponents throw very slowly (I didn't bother checking for a difficulty setting), but still blur your vision if they brush against your face as if reaching out to gently stroke your cheek. I only fought the first and fourth fighters, and they didn't seem much different, except that the fourth guy could take more punches. The rounds seem short, but I don't know exactly how long they are, because I never saw a round clock. The game seems to pause and darken the screen if it doesn't think you're standing in the right place, but It doesn't given any indication that that is happening. I thought the game had crashed a couple of times, but then I walked to the yellow circle on the ground (which was not the center of my space, because I could see where that was from Turn Signal), and it resumed. Finally, the whole screen went black and I lost controls, but the music was still playing. When Thrill of the Fight was in early access, the tracking was already spot on. Any boxing game that wants to compete with ToTF needs to get their tracking down as a first priority. From looking at Appnori's website, their priority seems to be partnerships with celebrity athletes. The only good thing about this game is hearing a Generic White Guy voice come out of Manny's mouth, so I guess that part worked out for them at least.

My Thoughts and Multiplayer The game has some awesome graphics, lots of bells and whistles, and cool animations / minigames. The bad thing is that it feels very unrealistic, your gloves and hands are so out of whack with reality its kind of odd. Every minigame mode and training feels different from the fight mode which leads me to believe separate teams developed different parts of the game. M U L T I P L A Y E R DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what will kill the game for good. If you want a good VR boxing game (PvP only not single player) come play Era of Combat. We have a large community with a discord for finding fights, we have multiple people on daily and the dev listens directly to the community on where the game goes unlike this company

Doesn't really have any speed tracking, so its mainly based on combinations rather than hitting hard. The game is actually not bad, but it feels more like a wii fit game than an actual boxing game.

My opinion on Manny Boxing VR so far. I really like the touch of gloves at the begining of the match I hope in the future it is added in between rounds as well like if I were to raise my arm up the ai would react and reach back and that could also leave some areas open for dirty fighters to get a cheapshot in. The slipping is something I haven't seen implemented in a VR boxing game (surprisingly) yes they have blocking but this is my first time seeing an ai boxer actually slip and weave away my punches and fire back with a shot of it's own. I did have issues with my hands losing tracking unless I held them right in front of my headset which led to me getting hit in the body numerous times before my hand could retrack. On the last 2 fights I couldn't score a knockdown or K.O because once I jab or hit a 1-2 combo the bot starts backing up and stands there for a few seconds before approaching again but even in my fairly large playspace (2m x 2m) I find them backing out of my guardian I almost decked my monitor 3 times so keep that in mind if you have a small space. the game almost forces you to play super aggressive once you get to the 3rd fight so if you are a counter puncher be warned the rounds feel like they last maybe 30-50 seconds and even on the championship match it's a 3 rounder. The training modes are fun and left me feeling pretty tired after trying them all out! Now yes let's get to online mode. How is it? No one knows so far it seems. I failed to get into a match when I first loaded up the game so I decided to check out quick play first. after 20 minutes of waiting I was connected with someone but they disconnected instantly. I've seen other review's stating they also couldn't connect to a match even with a passkey so I'm not sure if the servers are down or just severely broken. Once the multi player is fixed I will edit my review and update this part with my opinion of online PVP. Overall I give Manny Boxing VR a 3.9/10. Keep in mind it is still very early access and It does have new and interesting aspects but the lack of replayability until online is fixed will be an issue with the playcount and short attention spam of some VR users if not fixed soon.

Not bad. The fighting is okay, but they need to work on the rumble of the controllers to make it stronger so it feels like you're getting hit when you block a punch. The training modes are fun and addictive. I wish there was a counter for your punches at the end of these games. It looks like there is, but it doesnt really give you a good description of how many total punches youve thrown. Great start for an early access game.

Review in progress Early Access I wouldn't say its on thrill of the fight level yet but so far it look promising the only issues i really see is the lack of settings and the punching feels great sometimes and other times not given it is early access these are things to expect but so far so good the biggest disappointment for me was no one is on multiplayer given yes it has just came out but i would like to see this part of the game grow massive one day. If you wanna support the devs cop it if you want something better for now get thrill of the fight. This review will be updated the more i play. 4/10 I beat manny the boss fight with only 37 minutes of experience what happened to 5 different difficulties ai the fact that I beat the champ is ridiculous to try to fight the last dude on the thrill of the fight on the hardest difficulty and you will know where I'm coming from.. i feel sorta cheated the fact the devs wanna up the price more when they update is dumb £11 for a game that has less features then thrill and thrill is dirt cheep.

This game is pretty good overall. The training mini games like the punching dummy and punching bag feel pretty good almost like you're really hitting them. My only complaints are that the animations seem a little slow and no one available to play multiplayer. It would be cool if you can change the length of the rounds as well. Overall game mechanics are good but we need more options, and more single player oponents. This is early access so alot of things can change. as the game is right now you should not buy Pros- Fun training mode Punches feel good in training Cons- Punches in fight mode are horrible and sometimes don't even work The Ai is way to easy No way to reset standing position ( issue for smaller play areas ) No adjustable settings besides sound Once the game gets more updates i will update this review, for now just play thrill of the fight very good game

This game feels like every other basic VR fighting game with minuscule mechanics. The game decides your stamina and fades your punches away despite your stamina. This game cheats for Manny Pacquiao meaning he never gets knocked down. I’ve dazed him over 10 times and he never hit the canvas. I’ve faced the first person and dropped him less than 60seconds. This game has potential but there are so many other games that are equally crappy but better. I.E. Virtual Fighting Championship & Creed (since it removed the stamina limiters). The best VR fighting game for boxing is Thrill Of The Fight. If you’re a Pacquiao fan you may like this but the mechanics and game is trash. Doesn’t even have Manny Pacquiao’s voice!
