My short review
1. Game options
a. Changing resolution - does not work
b. Changing audio (music, master etc) - does not work
c. Changing any graphic option - does not work
d. Any other option - does not work as well :)
2. Gameplay
a. Campaign - does not work (when you press START nothing happens)
b. Experimental test - does not work (when you press START nothing happens)
When I quit the game it crashed my Windows 7 so I needed to restart computer.
Great game 0/10
At least Uninstal and Refund on Steam works correctly because it is not done by Polymorphic Games

Early days, but looks very promising.
No gameplay issues apart from some creeps occasionally getting jammed up and therefore delaying the next mission phase - can normally be sorted out by an airstrike or robot..
Reminds me somewhat of MarZ Rising (a compliment!).
You have to think your way through - you will generally fail on the first run on each mission as you will be unsure of the precise attack paths of the creeps. The protection in some missions of seemingly suicidal humans really keeps you on your toes.
Good value for money, even with the limited content - I am looking forward to the mooted additional campaign levels.

Nice Zoom in to battle, simple and great background music that gets you into the spirit of the game. Graphics are sharp and this is a game well worth the price. Try it!

The game's awesome! It's really nice to see a game with an accurate model of evolution. I also love to see the passion the developers put into their titles. They work hard to make good games rather than just make cash.
My one complaint is that the weapons are a bit too expensive, but that is an INCREDIBLY minor flaw.
I'd also love to see a Protean Maker mode where you can modify variables and see them translate into a 3D model.
I give it a 4.2/5

A well thought out and decent tower-defense game.
The conceit here is that the monsters adapt based on your strategies, and it really feels like it works. As a result, it can get pretty tough at times, but that's part of the fun.
I felt the controls were a little lacking, there were times when I felt I had trouble targeting the spot I wanted, and it isn't always clear which path the creatures can or will take, but nothing that really kills the fun, it;'s all about learning. Expect to have to try a few times to pass some levels!
For hardcore TD lovers though, this is darn good, with nice graphics to go with it.

Good balance between tower defence, base building and saving humans
Developers responds fast on the forums
Game is a bit short - hopefully they will add more levels

Overall fun tower defense game with its share of both triumphs and shortcomings. Project Hastur plays a classic perimeter style tower defense with a twist: Each wave of enemies tries to 'evolve' to your playstyle using a genetic algorithm. The result is a challenging AI that doesn't always quite do what you think it will.
The game adds some variety to levels by adding objectives, usually involving saving or protecting humans.
A little buggy on linux. Options menu does not work at all, and it permanently says "development build" in the bottom right corner. Some graphical glitches on the menu screens as well, but not during game play.
Despite its flaws, it's a fun if not bare bones tower defense.
