I really like the idea. If the dev ever gets a budget I would recommend hiring an artist. The main thing holding this back is a lack of beauty. In particular the character sprites.

The game is definitely dead. I can't see any progress being made for development when the company is making so many other games...
That said...there are plenty of text bugs...but for a $2.11 sale, I'll say its worth it. Lots of content, long game, lots of grind and different types of loot...just lots of text issues with English...still pretty playable if you can read around the text bugs. Mostly with the getting loot from monsters and having to do some sort of special attack or special way to defeat them to get the special drop. There are also some names like with one class not displaying in English at all. Still a lot of content for $2.
