I liked that the PuppetShow: Return To Joyville picks up where PuppetShow: Lost Town left off

I originally gave this a thumbs-up with the review below. But I played it again and have changed my mind. It's too annoying. It's an older game and graphics are low resolution. There is a Help button, but unless you are in the room where there is an activity, it doesn't help.
If you really love HOPs and don't mind the older games, then you will probably like this. It's not bad for the time it was created. But there are lots of other newer games that are fun that are less annoying.
---------------------------------
This is quite a good Hidden Object game. I thought the story was interesting (for this type of game). The mini-puzzles weren't just the same ones they always use over and over in the newer games. There was some back and forth, but not too much. It was almost six hours (on Easy level with a couple of skips).
Keep in mind it is quite old. It has a Hint button that is largely useless, but it does have a Strategy Guide. I found that to be sufficient at the couple of places where I got stuck.
It has oodles and oodles of hidden object scenes. These are the original kind with a list of items, usually with one or more interactive item, but well done I thought.

SPOILERS!! Obviously.
This game albeit being like the previous PuppetShow games, felt slightly different to me, in a good way. I love the ambience in this game, i wasn't expecting a creepy one honestly. The Puppet Theatre sure felt kinda scary with this ambience, althrough i have some questions about the story. To me it feels like
it was slightly retconned, like Felicia being featured in the newspaper when in the first game master wrote that nobody even knew he had a daughter. The location of the puppet theatre is also different as i noticed, but that is not an issue. There have been other things that i thought were retconned, but i can't recall. The bonus chapter had an interesting story but the ending really sucked. I mean, Cricks just gets electrocuted in a kinda comical way and then the chapter ends without even showing an ending. It's a shame because i'd love to know how the bonus chapter ended, considering it had an interesting alternative story. And puzzles were mostly guessing the pattern, there were other interesting ones but more of the patterns. [strike] (I skipped the number related puzzles because i suck at math-) [/strike] I personally prefer the puzzles from the second and first games, even if they are extremely easy, at least i needed to think and not guess.
But oh well, overall i like this game actually and i enjoyed exploring the infamous puppet theatre once more but in detail this time.
Edit: Added some stuff i forgot.
