I don't even know what I just played, but I think it's pretty good.
Some graphics gave me headache, but if you like bullet-hell shooters (where you are part of the bullet-hell!), you'll gonna enjoy this. And the music slaps too!

Immersively colorblind top-down shooter about a normal American (gun wielding) little sister living through a normal day.
Strongly rewards shooting on-beat, by making off-beat shots dissatisfying and lame.
Forgiving difficulty.
Has some good messages, such as "Weren't you taught to help your stupid friends?"
Has some bad messages, such as humanizing a senator by having him say that.
Has some inconsistent messages, such as making the cops all bad guys while having the anti-cop faction constantly dig food out of trashcans and destroy public property.
Immersively advocates IP criminality by using
RPGMaker BGM in a non-RPGMaker game
, even though ZUN wouldn't mind.
Plays well enough on Steamdeck, although aiming the second player's ability has extra jank with default controls.
I liked LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZ.
I suggest the dev try a sequel in imitation of Vampire Survivors with abilities tied to the beat. Much of the game would translate well,

I'm sure this game is for somebody, but not me. I saw this game on sale for $.50, so I decided to pick it up, especially after seeing that the game has a interesting rhythm based combat system, and a copy ability system that feels kinda like Kirby, but unfortunately, these features are underused. The game rewards and even encourages you to just bum rush enemies out of sync with the music (which is actually fantastic btw), and just kill enemies that get in your way and just run past everybody else. There is a second (and I guess a third playable character? I haven't played the game in a while) playable character that absolutely sucks to play as, and isn't fun at all, and because of how short this game is, it's not replayable really at all. Kinda a shame really, but I understand this game isn't really for me, I just wanted to voice some complaints I have with the game that makes me not want to return to it.

Totally worth it. Liked the rhythm mechanic, very weird for a bullet hell type of game but once you get the hang of it it becomes a useful and fun tool
Also really loved the pixel-art scenes they're like so damn cute

there doesn't seem to be a way to save your game. not that big of a deal cause it's a short game, but that combined with the very flashy graphics especially towards the end mean i'm probably never gonna finish this game. (flashing lights make me dizzy, and without a way to take breaks the game becomes unplayable for me after a while)
that said, the game is fun, the music is great, the dialogue is silly and made me laugh a few times. it's got a lot of good reviews for a reason, I think it's very good value for your money, it's just not for me specifically.
edit: you can't manually save game but it does appear to autosave at the end of a stage which is better than nothing, I just hadn't noticed. switching my review to recommended because I think the game deserves it even though I personally don't enjoy it that much

It's fast paced, a little bit chaotic, but a lot of fun. A little bit difficult. The dialog is the best. Cute game.
