I will leave this cat here, so that everybody who passes by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards /> フ | _ _ l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__) \二つ

HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM: MORE THAN 8 PLAYERS PER LOBBY AND LET ENTER IN STARTED GAMES AS SPECTATOR SO THAT WAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT ON AN EMPTY MENU BECAUSE I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THE GAME BUT THERE'S HARSHLY NO WAY BEST SOCIAL DEDUCTION GAME IF IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF PLAYERS

It's been over a year since I've played, and I've made a bunch of friends before leaving. The combat mechanics and general game mechanics are fun, though the combat may not be for everyone. This is the first social deduction game that has stuck with me. However, there are two things that made me very disenchanted with the game, specifically the community and updates / feedback. The community, because of the smaller player base, has some notable trolls and toxic players. The report system does not really have a feedback system from when I played, and I’ve reported players who have breached rules with no consequence. Video evidence helps, but I’ve seen little to no action taken even if sent. Nothing is more frustrating than reporting someone for something outright against the rules or disgusting behavior and wondering if their connection to the developers is what stopped my report from reaching fruition. This is not the first time I've heard the reporting system is kind of whack, and I've experienced it first hand. The second is the progression of updates. The most notable one was an introduction to the ghost bears, a cooldown mechanic for spectators that can actively come into the game for a short period of time and attack / indicate players. Most players, regardless of survivor or traitor, will not play the ghost bear to their team / use it to troll. The large portion of the community on the discord was not in favor of ghost bears, and it wasn't until many months later did they decide to remove them. I was frequently frustrated with spectators being able to change the course of the game, although, to some that may be just a benefit. If you do not mind spending $10 for a game that you may play for a short period of time, the complex mechanics and goals are a ton of fun. I do not recommend seeing this game into longevity, simply because your experience might be cut short by the developer's focus into their new, upcoming game. You might not have the exact experience with some members of the community that I have, but the community can be pretty unforgiving and atrocious. If you have a group of friends to play with, that is your option when you pay for this game. Do not rely on the matchmaking / lobby system. Edit: A little less detail on my personal experience, meant for a more concise review.

Wonderful game in desperate need of a free to play release. Its not gonna hold a playerbase like this, and clearly hasnt, with a daily peak as of writing of 77 players. Its a fantastic game, fun as hell, with a great deal of care put into it. Devs, if you read this, please, just go F2P and monetize cosmetic stuff and whatnot reasonably. I wanna see this game live again.
