One of the most polished Indie Titles I've ever played so far. Also no tutorial apparently, which is a really great thing: you will find yourself understanding stuff on your own, having that long lost feeling of personal accomplishment. Really good game design: Easy Controls, but a lot of stuff you can do with them. If a game can accomplish a lot of stuff with a single button, you know it's gonna be great!

I can't recommend this game. The graphics are good looking, the sound effects will do and the sound track is a good deal above average if not down right catchy but the game as a whole is way over stylized, too phrenetic, too blinksh, clumsily controlled and functionally unintuitive (example: accessing the menus at any point is most suck and confusing) . Not ready for prime time as it could have used more development time to receive user feed back and iron out quirks. This is your classic example of a work that is 90% complete with the 10% incompletion making for a ruined experience. The only saving grace is the music sound track. Though, even that is flawed in a way that makes it prohibitive to listen to at any amount of loudness as it is mixed or mastered with EQing that is overly bright in an unbalanced way.

Very bad at technical level, unoptimized, glitchy and they are aware of it because crashing it is an achievement, which I got after barely playing in middle of gameplay.

Wow. I am not epeleptic and after 5 minutes of gameplay my head started to hurt. A thousand explosions, blur and distortion doesn't make games better unless you use them properly. Refunded. Literally can't play this.

Rym 9000 is a fast paced vertical shmup set in a dystopian future. Gameplay 9/10 Shoot everything and try to chain kills. Strategy is needed when picking weapon powerups, usually one of the weapons is more suitable for certain areas/enemies. Action gets very busy and sometimes it can be hard to see what is going on. Game is quite difficult but you get unlimited lives. Graphics 10/10 Very cool unique visual style, a real sensory overload with a lot of motion and things going on. Everything is well animated and nicely designed. Music 10/10 The electronic music fits the pace and futuristic style of the game perfectly. Also the music DLC is great and except for the Soundtrack includes Roex discography (6 albums). Overall 9/10 One of the hidden gems on Steam, a really fun game that flew under the radar. As time of writing the Linux native version is unstable and tends to freeze randomly, Windows version works fine though.

My eyes are bleeding and I love it. This game is amazing and super fun! Its got amazing style, a soundtrack that is literally fire, and great gameplay. I *suck* at said gameplay, but it is fun! I haven't gotten all the lore fragments yet, but the story is intriguing, and I love that the lore is tied to the achievements. It really makes me want to 100% this game! It is worth noting that they really are NOT kidding about the epilepsy warning. This game has all kinds of strobe lights. I had the game crash a few times, which was annoying, but it gave me an achievement which is hilarious. This game is absolutely worth the price. Play it!

//REVIEW MADE AT RELEASE VERSION// Definitively recommend for shoot them up players who don't enjoy having a clear screen. I'm amazed by the amount of visual polish the game has, and wished there were more epileptic gameplays out there! pro: > Pretty pixel graphics > GLITCH EVERYWHERE > Really great BGM! > The difficulty takes in account the fact that the player needs to find where his ship is, so that's good! > SMOOTH POLISH con: > Maybe too little info is being displayed; info like player lives, player HP (I think there's armor / no armor), etc > Can't play the game for more than a hour without eyebleeds, which is not a problem because playing shoot them ups for more than one hour in a row is pretty insane to begin with > Some ingame elements are like.. You don't know what they do until you touch it. It makes the first few runs a bit more frustrating, I guess? For that price, definitively worth its money!

A very unique game. It's style is very eclectic, but in a good way. The game play is like many other shooters, and really what sets this game apart is it's style, apparently drawing influences from Akira and NGE, both of which I have a huge nostalgic soft spot for. Sonoshee clearly has potential as a game dev, and I can't wait for more of his games to come out, especially Critters For Sale. So yeah, buy this game, it's on the cheap side, entertaining, and stylin' as hell.

Rym 9000: So, firstly, the music by Roex is extremely great, it fits perfectly, and improves the game a LOT (the game is already great) Appart for the music, another outstanding thing in the game is its visuals, they're so so great and unique, and really create an outstanding game. Even with those visuals , the game is still readable, and if not for you, there is a focus mode that makes things easier to see. The story is a bit cryptic, and very good, and requires you to unlock logs with different achievements, wich is a really nice reward. Now, the gameplay, it's great, every powerup is well tought for the level it's part of(there are 5 levels) and there is a great risk/reward thing: you have two lives, and then you're dead(but you can heal) and when you have only one life, you have a very very powerful weapon. The levels and bosses are well-made, fun to learn, and to master. The sound effects are really good, and mixed with the visuals, they really make you feel like you're on a ship that goes REALLY fast. In conclusion,go buy it, exept if you are epileptic, or have sight problems.

As some reviewer rightly summarized: "best looking bad game I have played in a while". It's a feast for the eyes but it ends up being way too confusing to understand what's going on. In my experience the game is buggy, the controls feel bad and the difficulty is insane. Maybe watch it on youtube.
