A pretty good game! I really like the art style of the characters and its overall very pretty and colorful. The different maps or little enemies are cool, and I still find myself playing songs and thinking "huh, haven't seen those types of enemies yet!". You can really find yourself grinding to get certain achievements. Some of the music is really fun and catchy. Yeah like 40% of the girls are dressed a lil skimpy but there's no nudity or anything serious like that. As a girl, I think the girls are pretty. I'm sure some guys are really getting off on it though LOL. Either way, you don't need to purchase the DLC to unlock everything (with enough grinding and leveling you can unlock all the girls I'm pretty sure), maybe some of the colab songs but tbh I don't even know any of the people they are partnering with to make the songs.

good gameplay, too much fucking goonerbait (esp since some of the characters are MINORS DOUBLE EW.) and TERRIBLE for being a 2time purchase game, your telling me i have to pay 40 to get non f2p songs ON A PAID GAME? but don't worry you get to feel rich with 2 paid songs a week, fuck off.

I love this game but after a certain level I stopped unlocking new songs to play and because of it the game feels less "fresh". It's sad that most of the songs in this game are only obtainable through the muse plus pack. Regardless, I still enjoy the game and its dynamics but I wish there were more song options we can unlock by leveling up.

I have been playing Muse Dash for maybe a good couple years now and it still remains a good rhythm game, albeit I do not play it as often as DJMAX. It is important to note that if you bought this game with the Muse Plus Pass, you should essentially be able to unlock all the other characters and music for free, but if you did not have Muse Dash with the dlc prior to the Miku dlc or you did not purchase that dlc separately, then you would be unable to get that dlc. With that being said, if anything changes I will try to update the review. Other than that, there is about 600+ songs in this game which is about the same amount as titles such as DJMAX. The actual gameplay is similar to Taiko, except you have obstacles to jump over and ghost notes to hit as well. There is also a health bar with hearts you can collect to refill the bar throughout the song. The game has characters that can float, hold a button for combo, take less damage or even survive after dying, so think about this aspect as making strategy for challenging songs. Or you can disable that entirely with equipping a minion, which is called an Elfin in this game. Music wise, this game has mostly poppier sounds, which is quite different than games like DJMAX offering much more variety. Since it is a Taiko like game, you won't get a full music video in the back, but there are really cool stages and different enemy shapes for each map. With the addition of the dlc you can also change how fever time looks and you can even change different looks of the characters too for their April Fools look. They have improve so much on the input reading, the customization and the developer's have listened to feedback in terms of monetization and dlc packs as well. Overall just an awesome rhythm game and it certainly stole my heart with the really cool characters, collaborations between Arknights, Vocaloid, Rhythm Master, Blue Archive and even Touhou Project, so this game is certainly a good game for the anime lover. I would say do not expect this game to be as difficult as a Bemani styled rhythm game, but it is quite challenging to get perfect scores at higher difficulty and it can be a nice more casual rhythm game with loads of content and high quality collaborations.

I bought this game when it was on sale and dirt cheap, for $0.56. Little did I know this would become a super addicting game to play that also really helps me hone my reaction skills. This game can be either pretty easy or insanely difficult depending on what songs you play, the difficulty level of the song, your ability to remember the correct keys for direction and combos, and how fast your reaction time is. There are many characters to choose from as well as Elfins (which are little critters that follow your character through the stage, and have different abilities) to better fit your play style. I later on bought the DLC that adds tons of new songs that's roughly around $27.00, all in all, spending $27.56 on this game in total is 100% worth it to me. The songs that come in this game are primarily Japanese, and there is a mixture of Korean, Chinese, and some English. This game has made my music library grow immensely and I've found a lot of new artists I like. The art style of this game is bright and colorful, utilizing tweened animation, features chibi/loli styled sprites for the characters, as well as rendered artworks for loading screens. Some of the artwork is pretty risqué as well, so if you're the kind of person who goes on tangents online about how "Loli is gross and immoral", this game is NOT for you, and the developers make that clear with one of the loading screen quips. Overall though, I've had so much fun playing this game over the years and I'm always looking forward to playing the new songs they add to the game. I had a ton of fun when they added the Vocaloid songs, cause I've been listening to Hatsune Miku for ages. I'd recommend buying it on sale just cause it's nice to save a little money. But if you're looking for something to help pass the time, that's fun, colorful, and has awesome music, Muse Dash is a great game candidate!

Gameplay itself was fun, but they sexualize characters that look like children, one of the loading screens also has a very questionable comment
