Super Inefficient Golf Reviews

The game seems fun, but it crashes a couple minutes after launch. I ran the extra unreal 4 setup. It didn't help. Intel i5 11th gen nvidia 1050 32gb ram windows 10

The game itself is fine. It's another of those kind of frustrating physics games that are fun to play around with for a while but don't really offer enough to keep you coming back for too long. You already know if you like those sorts of games, and this is another competent, fairly polished version of that. Why I don't recommend it is that there's a fatal error where every time I install the game I can play it exactly once. The next time I try to play it gives me a fatal error window from some kind of Unreal Engine side process thing. After much mucking around even trying to get the game to run, I found that I had to go into the file structure and uninstall an Unreal Engine component to stop the consistent crash. I found it in a Steam forum from 2019 where other people were having the same issue, and yet it still hasn't been fixed in 2023. So yeah, it's not going to get fixed obviously. I'm sorry, but if you release a game on Steam that fundamentally doesn't work for a fairly large section of users, then I'm not going to recommend your mediocre physics game. Play something else, don't waste your time just trying to get it to even run correctly.

I had so much fun playing this game. It's simply complex. Use mines to blast a ball into a hole a set distance away. However, too much of an explosion could send your ball off the course. Not enough, and you might miss the target with the same result. The physics are pretty interesting. I see the release date was 2018. If they ever decided to go back and make some new additions, like more holes, different obstacles, and multiplayer, that would be awesome.

Got the game at the "recommendation" of gamer friends - told me it was great! Super fun. I can't get it to play Hole 1 without it crashing. Don't waste your money. Not worth it.

It's a great game! There is dumb people saying that this thing or that thing isn't well designed... ffs the game is called super inefficient golf and they are hoping for a real golf game XDDD You explode tiny bombs to move your golf ball, you make it fly until the terrain doesn't render anymore and hope you get a hole in one, 10/10 best game design ever

J'ai une impression de jeu pas fini dans la bouche. J'ai fini le jeu en 47 min et bien que je n'aime pas juger sur la durée de vie, mais ce jeu aurait pu facilement avoir 2-3 heures de jeu + un workshop mais il n'y a que 18 niveaux que j'ai fini approximativement en 3 min chacun. Si un jeu a une durée de vie courte, le jeu se doit d'avoir les autres aspets du jeu qui sont au minimum bon et, comparé a des jeux courts que j'adore tels, que valley, Ce jeu manque énormément de polissage et ils ne savent pas du tout exploiter leurs idées au max. Le jeu a une très bonne idée mais la seule chose possible de faire dans ce jeu est d'équiper des bombes sur la balle pour en suites les faire exploser et c'est tout. Le jeu aurait pu, comme besiege, avoir plein d'éléments différents pour lesquels tu dois accomplir un objectif précis mais, la il n'y a rien d'autre que des bombes a équiper et a éxploser. Personnellement je l'ai pris durant les soldes steam en me disant qu'il pouvait être un jeu sympa mais j'ai été déçu.

Cool concept and a much more visually appealing game than similar games like Golf with Friends. The concept is almost too flexible allowing you to basically jetson your ball into the air and then blast it towards the hole often times circumventing the entire course. If you don't take that approach, you start to see how weird and floaty the physics are. Gravity is weak so your ball bounces like crazy yet somehow rolls like it's stuck in mud. The mines affect the weight of your ball and collide with the course which make things inconsistent. There's also no multiplayer which is the only reason anyone would really bother with this game. Make it multiplayer, tweak the physics, give mines 0 mass and no collisions and you've got yourself a winner.

The kind of game that you'd watch a streamer struggle with but not actually play yourself.

The game's scoring system (which is effectively the main focus of the game, being shown after every hole and compared against other players) is exceptionally poorly designed, encouraging players to get their ball into the air for as long and as often as possible instead of actually rewarding skilful play. For example: you can easily get a hole in one on the first hole with only 3 bombs, netting around 3000 points in the process, however if you simply launch your ball directly into the air over and over again until you run out of bombs you can get upwards of 9000, as each 10 second airtime gives a bonus 1500 points. Otherwise the game is reasonably fun but easy, most holes can be cleared on the first shot with only one or two clusters of bombs with a few retries.

Fun game! If multiplayer is ever added, I will recommend it to my friends. Playing it alone was a little sad, but the game concept is great.
