I figured this was a simulation game with no action graphics, but I thought there would be play calling. The whole thing is simulated you just watch. There is no strategy what so ever. A big rip off!

Great game! Not sure why the couple bad reviews? I bought it after watching some videos and its awesome! I feel in complete control of my team on the field calling plays. I can do things in this game that I cant do in other football sims when it comes to play calling. Send guys in motion on offense, calling a defensive play and deciding last minute to have your OLB blitz, wicked! The visual representation of each play is so cool and reminds of games like OTTB. If you like sports, if you like strategy, you will like this game. I am definitely grabbing Pro 2019 when it comes out this month.

This game is available for only £5 on Google Play Store, as far as i can tell there is no difference and is exactley the same game, just a 1/3 of the price. Dont waste your money buyng it on Steam. Otherwise an entertaining gridiron game simulator.

This is a superb American Football simulation. The user interface has been updated and is excellent and the attention to detail to plays you can call is amazing. The whole game is so realistic. You can coach your team through as many seasons as you want with a great draft system to improve your squad and build a dynasty. You can even just watch simulated games. Another great feature is you can have unlimited leagues, edit teams and player names and attributes. Highly recommended. Absolutely love the game!

Used to play Tom Landry Strategy Football (TLSF) a lot and always hoped that it would get an update to include a career mode. Fortunately, someone pointed me to Pro Strategy Football (PSF) and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is actually an update to TLSF. Was glad to find that the game is still customizable and that it will be getting even more so in the next release. Yes, the animation is dated but I love the simplicity and it represents the game of football well enough on the field. Also, it has something that very few, if any, animated football games can boast... blocked punts and kicks. Another unique feature is the sweet pay-off you get from the animated players when a TD is scored. Give the game a play and you'll see what I mean. As far as coaching, it has lot's of options that allow you to plan as well as make play calls on the fly. However, instead of coaching I use PSF to create fictional leagues and teams and then watch the games play out on the field. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea but this game scratches that itch perfectly for me. Also, like the fact that simmed games are not just calculated, but actually played out in seconds to produce results. Always though that was cool. You can even watch and save the animated highlights from a simmed game. One thing that I'd like to see added in the future is a way to create/import a custom schedule with fewer or more games as preferred. Just want to express my thanks to Kerry Batts, the designer, for such a fun and rewarding game. And I'd definitely recommend it.

Sweet! KUDOS to you guys for giving us another iteration of Pro Strategy Football!! For those out there that haven't played PSF 2016 - you will definitely want to give PSF 2018 a try. Like PSF 2016, it's a great coaching sim. It looks simple, but it can be complex. You have to review your roster and your opponent's to see how you can best exploit your team's strengths to your opponent's weaknesses. Stats.......it's all stats. The AI isn't a pushover. You will get your ass kicked if you don't plan your moves. But it's fun as hell. If you have played PSF 2016, well there isn't a lot new here. The playcalling menu has been streamlined a bit which is good. The graphics are the same - which is fine. You can import/export csv files for editing leagues and such and the career mode has been expanded so that you can draft players and watch your team improve through infinite years. Nothing earth shaking......but it's good to have a new version of the game. Only gripe - and it was my gripe on PSF 2016 - there is no crowd noise. Now I know this is mostly a coaching simulator, but a bit of crowd noise in the background or at least when a team scores would add so much atmosphere to the game. I don't know why they can't incorporate a proper sound file to make that happen. But they didn't in this go'round. Maybe next time. Also, the music - well there is one loop - and it is loud. You cannot adjust the volume on the music or anything else. It's either you switch it on or off. Odd. There should be some way to adjust the sounds. Bottom line: if you have 2016 - might not be worth the $20 as there isn't a lot new. I bought it because I was so damn curious about it since it was a new version. If you don't have 2016 - you should go for this. It's definitely fun. WARNING: This is not a twitch football game. You cannot control the players. You watch the players execute the plans you have made for them. The graphics are not Madden style. They are old school, yet charming graphics perfectly suited for the purpose intended. This is basically a chess game where you decide what the players do - it's your guys versus their guys. Make shit decisions and you'll get your ass handed to you. Of course there is a bit of luck and rng, which can be annoying, but in the end, it's all about the strategy.
