Yes, it's interesting, but also exasperating in many ways. Bunch of woo-woo puzzles based on mystic concepts like I-ching trigrams, but no logic to them whatsoever. Somehow the mysticism of the puzzles relates to the deeds of the four fictional-real serial murderers whose lives and careers this game tries to connect in a fictional plot. Premise possibly of interest, but what the actual puzzles and clunky execution of same have to do with the premise is hardly convincing. Some puzzles were relatively straightforward; others like the I-ching trigrams were totally arbitrary as far as this player could tell. I would recommend with reservations.

We recommend it for the price. Enjoyed playing it but there were some frustrating issue with fiddly control , Some puzzles were very good whilst others a bit strange

The player assumes the role of FBI Detective Jack Rede. Unknown kidnapped his son, Spark, and Jack goes in search of him. On the way to salvation, the player will have to meet many riddles and puzzles, their solution will shed light on the origin of the criminal, and on the life of the detective. Details of the plot are revealed by the environment. Some puzzles are extemely hard to solve.

A puzzle game where for several puzzles the greater challenge is not to figure out how to reach a solution, but rather how to make the controls do what you want

Chapter One - I liked the game and wondered why everyone else hated it. Chapter Two - I started to figure out why everyone complained about wonky controls costing so much time. Chapter Three - I started to hate the game because the storyline went south along with the controls. The puzzles were extremely lame as well. I'd be more intrigued with crayons and a coloring page if you're going to make me match what color grass, sky, water, and so on are. The hints are also worthless. Don't even bother using them.

Purchased this thinking it would be like The Room. They seemed to be trying for the same concept but the controls, details and puzzles are lacking.

This game is clearly inspired by The Room series and keeping that in mind, it fails to deliver in both quality and concept. There's another review on here that states the game has a strong start and it does right up until a 2x2 Rubix Cube puzzle and that's when the problems with the game start to show up. Pros *Writing is serviceable to the plot, it's not amazing but it gets the job done. *Atmosphere, feels detective and mystery themed *Music was pretty good *Graphics and details are good Cons *Controls, the number one reason a particular puzzle in chapter 3, made me write this review and put this game down because they are just so, so bad. It feels there is almost no consideration considered for how this affects desktop users when it was ported from iOS. *Hints are not good, work needs to be done on these. It often told me what I already knew but not direct me in a way that guides me. ---- A lot of the time I just found myself engaging in trial and error when I just did not know what do with a puzzle. It tries so desperately to be like The Room series, which is very good btw A+ recommend, but it just falls flat. The difficulty curve seems all over the place with the puzzles, which would be fine if the hint system wasn't just so vague. A special eff you to the cylinder puzzle in chapter 3 and the Rubix in Chapter 1. These aren't fun, they aren't engaging, they are simply trial and error. It can be done better. 3/10

Riddlord is a puzzle game inspired from The Room series with puzzles of various difficulty ranking from easy to hard (there were 2 puzzles I had to draw on paper to solve). It consists of 3 chapters and some kind of epilogue with an open-ending. I enjoyed the 3 chapters very much. And chapter 3 definitely has the most challenging puzzles in the game. Kudos to the players that can finish it in less that 20 minutes... But then the epilogue was kind of disappointing. It was very contrasting with the rest of the game. Puzzles were too easy and I met some difficulties for moving around, so I did not end the game on a very good note... Still I am curious to see what the developers have planned for the next opus. Now about the story, I found it was very superficial. It definitely is not the strong point of the game, so don't expect too much on that side. Also, I ended the game with two unanswered questions: - there were a coded text I was not able to decipher (I tried for a bit, but then moved forward with the game and I forgot about it...) and I wonder what it said, - also I have no idea if the figurines found in each chapter had any purpose... If someone had any info about this, let me know! In all, this game is definitely made for puzzle lovers, so if you like puzzles, you should definitely try it out.

I know design puzzles is hard, but that don't mean putting two rubik's cube thing there is acceptable. Please replace them next time with just a Sudoku, cross word, a calculus problem or something with somewhat equal difficulties to general public. First level is fine, second a bit harder, third is challenging. Some puzzles require sort of knowledge. So far so good. But the final senario is just stupid. Simply remove the final level would turn many negative reviews into positive, based on others comments. Other things are all good.

Starts strong. Devolves into color matching game with making objects hard to find in the scenery replacing actual puzzles. Interface is awkward on desktop, objects don't move or rotate properly, hints are utterly useless. Final level is obviously slapped together as quickly as they could with basic children's puzzles. Example hint: "There's something in this box you need."
