It's alright. The issue with the game is that progression isn't straightforward and you always feel like you're playing sub-optimal, if haven't figured out something crucial. You can honestly take your time, as the devs just throw opportunities at you and you'll feel spoiled for choice what to do for a given day.
Need Money?
-Traps and expensive bait, and you'll typically profit from these.
-Any vegetables about to rot, or you have more than a stack? Sell them to the herbalist. For the herbalist, Bob, and Joe, you can also visit them in-person to trade with when you're in the area.
-Making furniture and selling it to one of the traders. Buying objects from one trader, deconstruct them, and construct the furniture that a trader wants. It's time-consuming and the profits are pretty slim, but it's how you'll level these two initial traders. See an item being asked for and you don't have the recipe? Chances are you have one in your home and you need to deconstruct it to learn it's recipe. Just be sure to replace the one in your home, as you may need a certain amount for the agent's inspections.
Important: When buying new weapons from Bob or Joe, deconstruct them, so you can learn their recipes. If you're melee weapon is about to break, you can deconstruct and reconstruct them to repair it for no cost except time. Joe buys pickaxes, axes, and other weapons, so this is how you fulfill those. The secret recipe that Joe sells is well worth the money and basically replaces the shotgun and melee weapons. Rifles can be found in the desert at random.
-Level 4-5 of mines is where you'll gather trade items to sell for a lot of money, and is probably the best money-making method with little time/investment needed. Just be sure to stay on top of your crude oil to gasoline, iirc both excavators on levels 4-5 give you crude oil. Craft the backpack, as soon as it's available, and fill the quickslots with food items like jerky.
-With the gasoline stocked up from the mines, bring 20-25 gasoline to explore the desert, and whatever materials you find, you can construct furniture from for more money, if you trully need it. The desert is mostly for collecting electronics and canned goods. A tip for the desert is to use one or two of your backpack quick-slots to store the canned goods, as it doesn't count to weight and you can stack 20 per slot.
Feel rushed?
Don't be, there's no time-limit to the game, and as long as you're doing something or anything, you're making progress. The traders take time to level, so if you spend in-game days just leveling traders in-between quests, it's totally fine. Completing the minuteman's quests means that
the agent will leave you alone and you'll get a special ending. Joe has the geiger-counter, and the item after that is in the sleepless's base in the mine (it's the small face statue on a table).
Blends Cold War paranoia with survival crafting in a way that feels both fresh and oddly grounded. At its core, it’s a game about quiet rebellion — building an underground bunker, crafting tools, and hoarding resources under the nose of an authoritarian regime. What starts as a quirky 2D builder quickly turns into a tense balancing act of deception, logistics, and long-term planning. The tone walks a fine line between dark satire and genuine unease, and it nails that dystopian vibe.
Compared to similar survival-management titles like This War of Mine or Sheltered, this one trades raw emotional weight for a more stylised, almost Fallout-lite approach. It doesn’t go as deep in terms of consequences, but offers more day-to-day micromanagement and a clearer upgrade path. The concept is unique, the pacing tight, and while it doesn't revolutionise the genre, it carves out a neat little space of its own.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, not gonna lie.
I was expecting it to be very low level, some silly quick cheap game, but it is actually pretty good. I love the concept of "being ready for the worst" even in real life. I always end up hoarding all collected items in every game, "just in case". This game feeds into that habit very well. It has very smooth level progression and is pretty easy to manage. It's very intuitive and guides you through pretty well. At first you feel a bit stuck, but very quickly you unlock many things that make you feel somewhat overpowered even. I immediately spent hours playing it.
Overall I'd give it 7/10.

The game is interesting. I’d love to see a sequel or new DLCs with additional mechanics

All the story elements for a great game are there, the execution just isn't. The controls feel like a mobile game, but unlike a game like This War of Mine the gameplay doesn't make up for it. If you want a mindless prepper base builder then this game is for you. Otherwise I would not recommend.

Great game for killing some time. Don't buy the farm dlc. I bought it and went to the farm once. Isn't needed at all for game play. You don't have to complete all of the quests too do stuff at your own pace. I didn't use traps at all either they're not really necessary.

I loved this game - the level progression, challenges and the building options were enjoyable. A great platform for hours of single play. I hope they bring out a sequal.

Game seems fun, picked it up on sale but the Animal Farm DLC has some game breaking bugs that people have been complaining about since its release in 2024. The developer just keeps asking for the game version and somewhat gaslighting the people experiencing it. Everyone who experiences it has the same issues (pink textures at farm, and interaction menu breaking after going to Lake).

I am not joking: This postapocalypse game has no postapocalypse. I immediatly stopped playing when I found out that you are prepping essentially for nothing because the Apocalypse only occurs as you end the game, leaving you building a shelter that you never use. If this was desirable i would get into IRL prepping. It gets worse with the late game apparently being that you build a home made space rocket to escape to the moon. No i am not joking this is the plot of this game.
Immediatly stopped playing when I googled when the bombs drop and found out the answer is "In Game?Never" and that late game is building a scrap rocket in your basement which is just ridiculous..but sadly already spend too much time to get it refunded.
Gameplaywise? Its okay, sort of a solid bunker builder game in a dystopian authoritarian US that appears slightly more welcoming and reasonable than the real life present day US unsettlingly.
If you like preparing for nothing and work towards an end goal that can hardly be described as anything but idiotic you could have some fun.

I am going to recommend this game as it's fun to play .. BUT ..
There is a BIG but coming ..
You need to know the thing about Time in the game .. 1 MINUTE of game time is 1 SECOND of real time, which means 1 Hour of game time is 1 minute of real time, which means .. The days go FAST, you will barely have enough time to make a meal, disassemble a bucket, collect some water, collect some grain to feed your chickens, when the day is OVER.
It's a game, ok .. but, the single flaw in this game is the ridiculous game time speed.
On that basis, I am going to give this game a 6/10 .. as it is fun and interesting, and if you like Fallout Shelter, you will like this, but, as I say, be prepared to be able to do very little in a single game day,
