Fun game with lots of puzzles. I enjoyed it. Except there was no way to save.

A very short "game". I've beaten this one in 13 minutes! I think it's too short to be called a game. There're free games longer than this! Also, this is NOT a hidden object game. If it wasn't for the description on the shop page one wouldn't know what the "story" of this game was because the game itself isn't telling you. This kind of game could be fun, if it was longer and with more substance. The way "Home Darkness - Escape?" is -as it is- like a demo but not a full on game. I've played bonus content of real Hidden Object Games with more content than this. I've played free games better than this. The idea of this game is a good one. This kind of game can be engaging (see games by Rusty Lake for example) but "Home Darkness - Escape?" not.

I thought for $1.39 how could I go wrong? First, no way to save and exit so I'm starting from scratch every time. No indication at all of what the story line might be. Some people might enjoy the challenge but I suspect most will just get frustrated.

I loved the drawn art style and the eerie atmospheric music, even finding the monster (Dr Frankenstein's monster feel where there looked to be stitches and wiring) and having 5 seconds to react. Unfortunately everything after that was pitiful for me. There was no cursor to state which were usable objects so you clicked round the screen aimlessly till you got the item, there was the same feeling for finding materials to combine. The puzzles were too easy and with the opening note you find on the floor you expect there to be a good storyline or at least a few more jumpscares; but for me the worst was the ending "yay now i'm rich". Really??!! The portal couldn't have opened up to a creepy laboratory, ritual alter, or an alternate dimension/monster den? Game completed in half an hour which just says everything. 1/10

This isn't a hidden object game, it's more of a random clicking game. I didn't even finish it because I didn't know what to do next. There is no guidance, no story of what you are doing or why there is a monster in the house, and no reason to spend money on it if you haven't already. Unless of course, you enjoy random clicking and making up your own story.

Oh boy, how do I say this... calling this game bad would be an understatement. When you hear of Flash games, your expectation is probably above what this game delivers. Gameplay: It's standard point and click fare. You find items, use them on the scene, sometimes combine things together. Most of the game involves opening locked doors, with half of them having the key somewhere in the room. Not really any puzzles to speak of. The biggest problem here is there's pretty much no guidance on what you're supposed to be looking for, and when you have the item, unless it's something to open a door, what you're supposed to do with them. The only text that appears in the game is a page you find at the beginning, and it's something Google Translated that makes no sense at all. By the end of the game, you pretty much just have to combine everything with everything else and place them on a table, without knowing why you have to do any of it. Graphics: Awful. Mostly because it's a mobile port and the backdrops are all 960x540. Everything is super pixelated if you try to maximize the window. Sound: one single background loop, over and over again, and a few sound effects, nothing notable. Was it worth a dollar? No. There are other Flash room escape games that are magnitudes better than this game. Even writing a review for this is giving it too much credit.
