I've only played for a little bit but it's a lot of fun! My one complaint is its so freaking hard to see enemy bullets. The art style is really cool, but its so busy that there isn't any room for contrast, if that makes any sense. Other than that its a really fun game! Grab it if its on sale!

Got this on sale but the amount of content is insane even for full price. I'm obsessed, this is a very easy game to sink into.

For me its a perfect game; a unique combination of very satisfying genres: action roguelite, base-building and economy/management. It has JUST enough variety to blur the line between always discovering new things and going back to reliable builds. I wish there was an endless mode... Only cons I can think of: * Sometimes enemies/bosses have cheesy attacks due to positioning (e.g. oxen rushing from off-screen, UFB beam starting location) * The meta-progression is very grindy to the point where I feel like I'm spending the yield from a ridiculous run on something that barely has a change on gameplay. This feeling is lessened by how fun the game loop is, tied to the feeling of getting a rare cat :)

Amazing. Absolutely addicting. Unique blend of farming sim and roguelike action that I can't stop playing.

fun game, little tough. core loop is spawning into your farm, planting whatever seeds you have at the moment, running off into one of the biomes, and then running back to your farm when night time rolls in to defend your crops. after each night ya get sent into town where you spend your currencies (cash for guns/seeds and roses for the romance options). the game does have a bit of a learning curb but once you start snowballing, it gets real satisficing to break the game with some of the items you can find/ earn.

I adored Atomicrops!! It's catchy and fun, the pacing is excellent, and it's just thoroughly a fun time-sink I caught myself wasting away playing in the best way.

One of my First Roguelike games after playing the amazing Enter the Gungeon that got me into the genre I find this game had lived up to my expectations after already playing a great Roguelike and it might serve to be that great roguelike to get you into the genre like Enter the Gungeon did for me. Atomicrops has a charming pixel art aesthetic that has a great constrast of color saturation to create a captivating post nuclear world of mutated animals and crops with eyeballs. One feature I have not fully come to understand yet about the game is using your progression currency (cornucopia) to buy cats and from what I have gathered is it may be a money sink unless you just like looking at cute cats, but that is my only suggestion of something to avoid in this game. Good luck and have fun!

When I first launched this, my first impressions were: for a bullet hell this seems pretty chill so far...then I fought my first boss at the end of the season. HOLY $%#@! The weird music of the game fits perfectly, and I appreciate the way the game does difficulty. Each year gets more and more difficult, with better rewards for completing each year. I'm currently struggling with year 4, but I'm going back to year 3 to get better permanent upgrades to tackle the next year, and that felt natural. I appreciate being able to cycle through different years if you're looking for more chill or more intense too. PROS: Great soundtrack, perfectly fits how weirdly fun the art style and animation is. Easily adjustable difficulty to suit your playstyle, while still being able to get rewards regardless of the year. A fun twin-stick shooter bullet hell that isn't another survivor type game. Planting crops and defending them adds a fun gameplay mechanic I haven't seen in any other twin stick bullet hell. Lots of different combinations of weapons, characters and perks, not to mention changes to enemies at higher years to keep gameplay feeling fresh each run. Boss fights are fun and unique, especially the end game bosses being fought a different way. CONS: The game is complete and there isn't anymore DLC coming to my knowledge T_T But I have plenty of content and 6 more years to beat. Money absolutely well spent.

Extremely good roguelike, you will not be disappointed. The flow between farming and combat feels so natural and engaging. It has a ton of replayability with the multiple characters most of which feel extremely strong and fun to play. As you play the game and win runs, you gather cornucopias which allow you to buy permanent upgrades in the hub, and you get significantly higher amounts of cornucopias for playing on higher difficulties; pretty standard for a roguelike. This leads to a very fun gameplay loop, and there's a lot of upgrades; I bought all of them after 50 hours of playtime. If you're worried that this isn't enough, the cats exist. They provide miniature stat boosts for collecting them and if you run out of upgrades to buy you can buy and upgrade your cats to really minmax your stats. I shudder in fear of the amount of cornucopias required to reach peak cat effectiveness. All this provides a sense of progression in the game even after you beat the highest difficulty and get all the achievements. Overall, Atomicrops is an AMAZING game and you should 100% play it. With how cheap it is while on sale, you have no reason not to. ♥
