If you dream of leading the Romans from Trajan's column to victory against the celts, this is the game! I also very much like to play the Huns or fight against them.
Overall a very nice DLC for a very nice game.

Great piece of dlc if you enjoy the game you should pick it up.
Word of warning, the devs do like to censor criticism.

Nice unit additions. I find this game very challenging, and having tried 2 battles against the Britons, I have lost both times.
While the legionaries can hold, the auxilliaries and lesser romans are chopped to pieces by the Britons, breaking defensive lines and routing almost immediately. Not sure if the Romans are underpowered or Brits overpowered, but it seems a bit odd that the Brits just make mincemeat of Legionary lines. I'll give a thumbs up based on the new units and assuming there's a reason I am not aware of that the Romans are no match for the Britons in a straight fight.

Great content, good price, and another brilliant addition to the game! Like the previous dlc, there isnt really any change to gameplay so only buy if you like vanilla game.......that said the devs have been great at listening to feedback and released a free patch that made some much needed changes to the Campaigns.

Oh Yes The Huns! Played as the huns against The Nabataen's 7,500 Huns Faced off against 23,000 Nabataen which the majority of their forces were massed archers and a lot of them. So outnumbered and not thinking that this was going to end well I started divide my units and attacked both flanks left the centre open, now in the description the huns listed as fierce nomad archers etc the ranged combat was ok but then the melee this is where it all happened these guys are good really good. After picking off the skirmishers into both flanks ripped through like butter massed archers crumbled and so did their foot which I was suprised they just could n't handle the charge and the huns are no heavy horse. I ploughed through both flanks into the centre got behind them and they had given up the ghost all generals down and victory calling. Now I did not think I would win the battle don't get me wrong I took some hits but overall the Huns are very capable of ripping through lines without to many casualties. So a big Yes for this DLC if only for the Huns.

As someone who is passionate about the Late Rome era, the DLC is a must-have. Downloaded and played the Argentoratum battle as Julian facing the Alemanni and was surprised and pleased how tough this battle was. This was a long and well-balanced battle which hung in the balance and bodes well for the rest of the DLC. I can see myself sinking hours and hours now into fighting many battles in this era.
As usual the unit details are high quality and capture accurately the feeling of 25mm lead figures. I can ony add that it almost makes me want to go out and build a 25mm Late Roman army - this game is that good in terms of how it simulates table-top wargaming.
