I think if this game had more simplistic options for plane controls like the newer IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad game then this would be a wonderful game.
If you are a flying expert then you are lucky. You have the knowledge. If you are like me and more of a arcade like Ace Combat like player then this would strongly not be for you. The control settings is just so overwhelming that I don't know where to look for what is most important and most simplistic to just let me do what I want to do, which is fly WWII games while enjoying the details the amount of aircraft added to this game of various types.
I know they are doing a DLC for more planes and expansion and I look forward to it. But I don't think I will ever be able to enjoy it until they finally overhaul the control system and game settings to make life more easy for you the player. Again this is too much if you are not a expert.
I really can't say more beyond that because this whole time I have had nothing but heartache. I want to fly, I want to enjoy this game, I want to be able to take off and land on my own. Not watch tutorial videos, not watch random players on youtube tell me how it should be done.
So right now? I would just stick with Battle of Stalingrad, its a lot more inexperienced friendly, it has simple menu's, while still having a crap ton of control buttons to look at it is much more easy to find and understand than this confusing complex brain headache of a game.
Every single time I try to play this game again, and install it again. I keep remembering over and over why I uninstalled this...now you know. Fair warning.
