It will take some time to master but its pretty cool so far. Be careful and be sure to get your bearings first as i went online pretty quickly after first tutorials and was chasing my tail. I wound up getting a little queasy for the first time in monhs in vr. But for soccer fans, its a must. I think this wil be a pretty big game if it catches on. edit: they definetly need to make the head tracking the indicator for direction too

really interesting game, i'm a big fan of soccer myself and wasn't sure about this game due to the mixed reviews, though in my opinion the game at the very least no longer plays like the previous reviews made the game sound. I don't know alot about this games history, but it seems to have been revamped heavily though apparently alot of players have issues with motion sickness. As someone who doesn't have an issue with motion sickness in vr ever this isn't an issue for me at all. The game plays quite well in my opinion, and has a feeling of playing soccer with your hands. the locomotion for me seems to work quite well. if there was something I could fault the game on, and something I think the game needs to improve it'd be the lack of option to have locomotion that isn't following a set direction, or following head movement, there needs to be a third type where you can move in the direction that your controllers are running. if there was controller directed movement in the same way as Natural locomotion this game would be incredible. the issue of having to turn your head to the side to run around the ball, or using the strafe isn't really viable. if the devs truly want to improve this game, they should work towards adding this as a feature as it will make their game far better. controller directed movement, or at the very least movement that isn't stuck based on where you're looking will make this game much more playable and allow players to be a lot more creative. That being said I have had a lot of fun with the game, hope to see the devs take my point about controller directed movement into consideration.

Played on the PSVR for a long time now have a vive to play room scale and its fantastic. Difficult to understand why this game only has 14 reviews on the pc side but its actually really really goood. Yeah its difficult to find a game but thers a discord to set up matches. My positives- -Controls do support room scale -Controls are difficult at first but once you master very rewarding -Physics are Awesome -Heading the ball in this game is amaazing -Dribbling is fun -Cross Play with PSVR overall love the game just wish more users supported it. Kinda an underappreciated gem with a lot of backing from the devs

This game has huge potential, so far the developers have implemented a very creative locomotion solution for a sport no one imagined could work well for VR. As expected there are bugs for an early release product but the team have released consecutive updates that have drastically improved the experience in my opinion. I look forward to the final version of this game. Pros -Very fun and engaging -Great workout -Creative locomotion for moving through the field, shooting, passing etc. (Room scale is amazing) Cons -Needs more active users to setup online matches -Needs Bots to make up for lack of users

My first impression...steep learning curve. But that does not mean it is bad. So far what I can tell needs to be improved: very not intuitive that when you look into a direction, you will not run into that direction. Instead, you have to tilt your controllers. Just wrong. Please improve. Also, the text on the tutorial boards is too small! It is tough to read! Why not make it a bit bigger? Moreover: tried this on Samsung Odyssey first but did not work. Somehow it makes you feel you are cross eyed. Some IPD setting problem.

This is the only VR game going where you play full matches as a single player and even though I don’t use foot controls it is very immersive. Some older reviews mention the controls being quite bad. This was the case when the game first came out (they were god awful initially) but now if you remove the comfort settings you can turn freely and control the ball freely. Controlling the ball and dribbling well can be very difficult at the start, and for the first couple of hours the game will be quite difficult. After the initial learning curve, dribbling feels very fluid and shooting is very consistent. I don’t like how weak passes are so I shoot gently to pass instead. Overall, I wish the game had more players but aside from that it’s the best (and only!) fully fledged VR football game.

Virtual Reality Football Club is a game I came to with low expectations. Football? Yes. Football in VR? Absolutely yes. But with decent mechanics and proper immersion? That's exactly where I thought I'd be let down. Well, this is where the beta version comes in. Beta allows you to physically turn rather than with buttons and this changes everything. So you can run up and down the pitch swinging your arms to propel you; slowly running out of breath in real life and getting a great workout. The direction of the controllers mirror your feet. But while at the begining you keep missing the ball or overstepping it, slowly the coordination kicks in and you accomplish deft little flicks and quick turns. Running and kicking the ball ahead of you has such an incredibly fulfilling feel to it that I want to keep playing long after I've run out of energy. Shooting is still a bit hit or miss with me. But there is a strong sense that the method is there; its just a matter of figuring it out. The satisfaction of the mechanics is excelled only by the multiplayer experience. It is simply fantastic. Kicking the ball away from your opponent's feet or intercepting a pass. Or simply racing him to the ball. It is so completely immersive. I've been laughing all through the matches I've played whether I've the breath to or not! And it's as much fun messing up as scoring a goal. Final thought is that while we have lots of shooter games, lots of escape games etc etc, what we have few of is games that truely belong in VR. Well, VRFC is not like any other genre we have played in VR. It really is unique. Absolutely recommend it to everyone. (At present multiplayer seems to be a bit glitchy, but trusting Developers to resolve)

I have put in over an hour trying to master the controls, but they are impossible. It feels like this was developed as a sit down game and not room scale. You instinctively turn to line up with the ball and not only does it not register this, but you are now not facing the ‘forward’ arrow, so all goes to pot. I can’t bring myself to join an online game as I am struggling to dribble the ball from the centre circle to the goal and shoot with no other players on the pitch. I feel it would be too embarrassing. This was such a huge disappointment as I was so looking forward to a game like this. Needless to say I have requested a refund.

Horrific controls. If my head and body have turned completely around, it should just follow. Just awful. PLEASE DEVELOPERS study how Stand Out Battle Royale handles movement. Until you fix this, I am refunding. Will buy again.
