The beginning of the game is too slow. I have a little more than 2.5 hours, as of writing this, and 2 hours is just waiting for more iron ores to spawn. I really am handicapped in what I can do, when everything is locked behind finding 40 iron ores, which have like a 5% (feels like) chance of spawning when something does spawn, and you need more than 10 of these ore nodes. I don't mind idle games that take a long time, they can be quite relaxing to play, but this is the wrong type of idling. It is not that I am mining constantly with a small chance of gathering iron, or that I need a lot of it with abundant resource, it is that I have to wait for an ore node to spawn only for it to give 1-2 iron ores. It is using the inferior type of idle-game system. [i] Ore node spawns -> mine it (5 sec) -> wait (15 min) -> repeat. [/i] I am also not able to expand the other parts of the game, because stamina drains faster than I can gather food... this means i can never get the surplus needed to make more traps and/or expand. A problem that wouldn't exist, had I known right when I started the new world, true, but you also can not make a game where a person has to be productive the FIRST thing they do for them to actually be able to expand at all. Or, maybe my luck just sucks (might just be the case). I have heard the game is supposed to be great, especially towards the late-mid game and after. A shame I probably never will reach that stage of the game, so for that I can not express any opinion. OBS: I don't really want to give the game a thumbs down, because there is nothing inherently wrong with the game, it is just that is uses an idle system I really can't stand.

Played for 164 hours so far and still not get the full achievement! Fantastic game! Create with love from the designers. Strongly recommend if you are into the kind of game.

Good game it's fun until you get too good tbh, but really fun for about 10+ hrs

I put off the last achievements for too long, great game, grind was a little tedious and many afk hours i don't know how many were neccesary though. do play i dont know think it will be updated ever, again still fun.

extremely well made game. if you tend to do stuff that is mind numbing for hours on end this game is well fit. extremely fun.

Honestly a really great game, which is it had some customization to it, or the ability to choose between like, where specific buildings are, by choosing which land to buy first, but yeah, amazing way to pass time!

the game itself is fine. its unpolished in the end game. unfinished and abandoned. but the dev is also just a terrible person that ruined the entire developement team and causes nothing but trouble.

I only bought this game on Steam cause it wouldn't launch when I received a free code for it on GOG. Lo and behold it [b]STILL[/b] doesn't launch, after a quick search I learned it's cause of some stupid glitch with the config text document in Appdata/Local/Forager. I'm sorry but fuck that, call it petty or whatever, but I shouldn't have to go into my Appdata folder and get some fan made config to make the game even run in the first place, that's something the developer needs to fix except [i]OH WAIT[/i], the developer apparently has abandoned it! I'm getting a refund and playing it on GOG instead so I don't give the developer money. If you decide to buy the game make sure it's on discount and be ready to possibly mess with your Appdata folder to get the game even to run in the first place.

May you rest peacefully in my library, Forager. You were lots of fun to play for a little while, but no updates really brings it back down.

[h2] No Support; unplayable game [/h2] The game in itself is pretty good. But there are pretty big technical issues that have existed for years now. I have had an issue that makes it impossible to launch the game. This exact issue exists since at least 2019 and has been experienced by a lot of people. The solution the support offers only helped temporarily and requires me accessing a third party website to copy a config to then change something in the game's config (Chrome won't let me access that website anymore because of security risks). [b] The support is no longer active on their discord. [/b] Users asking for help often times just won't get a response.
