THIS ONE IS SO GOOD !!!! a very good improvement of the series. the soundtrack is excellent and the plot is fun!! the bonus items actually serve a purpose beyond just collecting which is awesome. DEF in my top 5 for the mystery case files series.

Its a fun game to follow and has a lot of good puzzles that aren't too easy, but not too difficult.

I was so excited to see another MCF come out! I love MCF. This game, however, was a disappointment. Too short, extra story didn't relate to the main story (just similar magic), voice acting was... ok. I think they were trying to set up another long saga like Ravenhurst but set in US but it's not really working. Story itself wasn't very good or clear. Without giving too much of a spoiler - they set someone up as a hero but it didn't make sense to do that and it was a weak cover-up. The best one so far IMO was Ravenhearst Unlocked (LOVED the puzzles and I'm always excited to see Ravenhearst storyline). I'm glad I got it during the sale (50%).

One of the best MCF! Great story, good level of difficulty on the puzzles, nice locations, suiting music.... Just great!

As someone who plays these games for the puzzles, this one was SEVERELY underwhelming. 90% of the puzzles can barely be even considered as such, it's either just following instructions, trial and error or the answer is so mind numbingly obvious you can't help but wonder if the people at Eipix even know what constitutes a puzzle. Speaking of Eipix, this was the first game I played that was made by them, and good lord, it was awful from beginning to end. The characters are incredibly pixelated and stiff. If you won't hire any live action actors, then please, AT LEAST spend more than five minutes on the animations. The worst offender however was that, shortly after starting the game, I used an item in the wrong place, but instead of the usual quip from the protagonist, the text box actually said: bbt_dedicated_use_knife (it happens when you use the screwdriver on the place where you pour red ink, and ONLY with the screwdriver). Need I say more? DON'T BUY THIS ONE, FOLKS! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

Interesting story, nothing ground breaking but good for what you expect for these games. Loved all the puzzles but one. Some things made me have to think, but nothing was so off base it didn't make sense.

I really like this part. Its not tto much. It identifies very well as a MCF game. The mingames are good not too hard and not too annoying. The collectibles are well hidden but not too obvious. Its not boring and not too exagerated. All in one a well balanced game. I can recommend this game

I paid £10.99 for this game. I would not reccomend it at this price. The story felt like it came to an abrupt end when I finished it, there were some bugs in the game which also removed immersion. Furthermore, the story lasted only 3.2 hours, and that's with the bonus chapter. It was both dissapointing and not worth the price. I'd only recommend buying this if you could get it for around £6 or of equivalent value in other currencies.

A nice short complete story. Everything that you would expect from the series, there's nothing new. Hidden objects + skippable puzzles.

I'm a big fan of Mystery Case Files series but I can't say I liked this chapter. The plot is unclear, the graphics looks cartoonish and unreal (even locations, though stunningly beautiful locations were the reason I replayed many of previous MCF games), poorly animated NPCs... The gameplay is WAY TOO easy, you don't even need to think what to do with objects in your inventory, everything is obvious and predictable. The amount of HOP scenes was reduced and they are too easy too (tbh I can barely call the objects "hidden"). Well, tons of puzzles were added instead, probably to make the game look more "hardcore". The puzzles look all the same and mostly based on mathematical stuff like magic squares or the 15-puzzle. There's no fun in that. It took for me 6 hours to finish both the base game and the bonus chapter, and trashy puzzles took most of the time, I swear. If short: I don't think the game costs its money, previous parts were much better.
